The incumbent is responsible for Veteran, Family, and Community Engagement (VFCE) Directorate administrative support. The incumbent prepares requests for changes to organizational charts, mission and functions statements to implement organizational changes in program administration.

Plans, Formulates, and Implements National Policy and Programming: Assist with the development and sustainability of the forensic healthcare program to enhance the capacity of the Indian health system to provide high-quality multidisciplinary services and support for patients presenting for forensic healthcare and related services in collaboration with and as delegated by the Forensic Nurse Consultant. Provide recommendations to supervisors and senior leaders on forensic healthcare, projects, services, issues and trends. Serve as a coordinator for sexual assault policy implementation and monitoring.

Evaluates and Analyzes Program Effectiveness: Analyze existing or proposed systems, strategies, services, or other health related matters for forensic healthcare in conjunction with the Forensic Nurse Consultant. Research and analyze product problems caused by controversial, complex & often conflicting factors. Monitor trends and state-of-the-art clinical guidelines, strategies, research and other outcomes related to medical forensic healthcare prevention, intervention, and treatment. Review congressional and legislative action; assess and initiate impact and action on forensic healthcare accordingly.

Develops Networks and Partnerships: Provide leadership to promote and build collaboration with tribes, tribal organizations, Federal agencies and others to align resources to support DNS forensic healthcare program efforts. "The major duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• The Project Specialist is responsible for assisting the Project Manager (PM) in initiating, establishing, guiding, and controlling one or more DSC design/construction projects from inception through completion.
