This position is located in the Southeast Sunbelt Region (R4) within Atlanta, GA or Fort Lauderdale, FL. The incumbent will be expected to report to a GSA facility in the Southeast Sunbelt Region at least 2x per pay period.

• Provides policy oversight and expertise for specialists assigned major capital lease projects to ensure customer satisfaction and attainment of all organizational and project goals and objectives.
• Ensures projects are completed in accordance with GSA policies and ensures all reasonable steps are taken to ensure projects are completed within each project’s budget and schedule. 
• Identifies practices and procedures which deviate from prescribed policies and procedures, directs appropriate corrective actions, and monitors its progress.
• Anticipates and resolves project related problems to the maximum extent possible within vested authority, negotiates resolution of problems not within the authority of specialists negotiating and administering contracts related to these projects, and develops contingency plans to mitigate the impact of unresolved problems.

Some of the duties you will perform will include, but are not limited to:

• Applies professional knowledge and expertise to research, prepare and coordinate the writing of the cultural resource sections of resource management plans and specific action plans governing the management and protection of cultural resources.
• Prepares compliance and assessment of effect findings, with supporting documentation, for National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 110/106 and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects.

Responsible for managing the operations and improvements of the Resource Patient Management System's (RPMS) hardware, software, security, network, client/server interaction and clinical applications.

Assures System and data are appropriately backed-up and runs system tests to assure restoration can be achieved as needed. Performs acceptance tests, benchmark tests, and other studies used to evaluate the acceptability of computers, programs, and systems for meeting information system needs.
• Function as an application manager in the planning, development, setup and implementation of all aspects the Indian Health Service Resource and Patient Management System EHR. Prepares written policies and procedures for both long-term and short-term plans for the RPMS; Performs daily, weekly and monthly system checks and documents findings for the record.

The NP is a licensed independent practitioner with advanced education and national certification who provides evidence-based care for a population of patients.-

Duties included:
(1) Provides quality patient-centered care to adults age 18-65 and older adults age 65+, as assigned by ACOS of Primary Care.
(2) Assesses Veterans by utilizing advanced clinical judgment and physical assessment skills. Identifies acute/non-acute/chronic health problems.
(3) Ensures that safe, efficient, and high quality healthcare is delivered within the department.
(4) Ensures appropriate initial evaluation, treatment, and consultation, as well as documentation, consistent with current VHA Directive
(5) For admissions to the inpatient units, will ensure a physician-to-physician conversation regarding the need for admission, including diagnoses, assessment and recommendations.
(6) Demonstrate sound decision making skills, both clinical and administrative, which bring credit to the profession and serve to enhance the distinctive and contributory role of physicians.
(7) Daily care of patients also entails regular interaction with nursing, coordination of consultations and care and facilitation of diagnostic studies and therapeutic procedures.
(8) Other vital roles include: communication with patients and their families, patient education, discharge planning and communication with outpatient providers, arranging follow up, preparing discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and ensuring communication during hand-offs of care.
(9) Ensures a sign-out to the oncoming physician to ensure an informed transition of care; coordinate with the admitting physician and consultants to organize diagnostic and treatment plans for all patients pending admission.
