• Research solutions to improve examination/licensing and other techniques used by the various states with the objective of expediting workflow and enhancing the quality of work.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Assists the Regional Director on a variety of assignments related to the administration and management of QAD commodities.
• Formulates and implement procedures, policies, and training programs within their region.
• Directs the work of key assistants and assures that grading activities are properly coordinated and administered.
• Supervises grading activities and provides guidance to a significant number of federal and or state employees on both administrative and technical matters.
• Assists in the execution and coordination of approved policies and programs to effectuate uniform and integrated programs throughout the incumbent’s region.
• Monitors funds obligated, expended, and collected in the execution of the program in the region.
• Reviews and evaluates operations in their designated area to appraise their effectiveness, adherences to regulations, and determining their deficiencies.
• Evaluates the technical adequacy and acceptability of the grading, certification, and auditing programs.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Serves as the CAFA Director’s representative, fully participating in the planning and program development of user fee costs and activities to support PPQ’s mission, goals, and policies.
• Coordinates with the CAFA Director to provide overall leadership, direction, coordination, and operational accountability for the CAFA division and associated programs.
• Coordinates, develops, and integrates staff functions with other APHIS programs and programs of other federal, state, and foreign agencies and private organizations.
• Represents the CAFA Director in meetings and dealing with outside groups such as Members of Congress, agricultural industry groups, and officials of other government agencies.
• Oversees in-depth analyses of user fee policy and program management issues of importance to APHIS’ mission to protect and serve U.S. agriculture.
• Oversees administration of PPQ’s user fee activity-based cost models; manages the team that designs, develops, operates, and evaluates the user fee cost model and associated regulatory activities.
• Improves program cost tracking, analysis, and financial decision-making.
• Manages financial accounts for appropriate conduct of the assigned program(s) which may or may not involve special appropriations, user fees, reimbursable overtime, or trust funds.
• Leads national budget development for assigned program responsibilities and provides coordination for the Program Planning and Budget Development Process.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Assists the Associate Deputy Administrator by providing executive level line management for the planning, initiation and execution of emergency and domestic programs.
• Provides overall direction and coordination to subordinate staff who are responsible for science-based regulatory policies and decisions.
• Participates in establishing goals and objectives for assigned programs, developing overall operational plans and reporting on program activities.
• Participates in the overall establishment of national budgets for assigned programs, monitoring the overall budgetary health of programs.
• Participates in the development of emergency programs for the purpose of providing essential guidelines for the control and eradication of new plant pests or diseases.
• Represents PPQ at national and international meetings concerning the modification of rules, regulations, and procedures set forth to enforce emergency and domestic programs.
• Serves as consultant and advisor to Federal/State officials, representatives of industry and plant protection organizations.
• Responsible for ensuring performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work of subordinates.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Participate with the Division Director and other USDA officials in the development of plans and policy on matters having broad implications.
• Responsible for the development of the purchase schedule for the assigned program area.
• Responsible for the accuracy of all contracting actions taken, and other financial assistance program operations.
• Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of the market impacts and factors effecting commodity purchase programs, including changes in supply and demand conditions.
• Lead the recommendation of purchase programs relative to the full range of agricultural commodities.
• Respond to a broad range of verbal and written inquiries.
• Plan work within the team and is given discretion to organizing the wide range of tasks necessary to efficiently run the operations of the section.
• Develop performance standards for team employees and evaluate work performance.
• Analyze training needs of subordinates and ensure that appropriate formal and on-the-job training is received.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Directs the work of key assistants and assures that grading activities are properly coordinated and administered in accordance with existing law, regulation, and policy.
• Sets standards of performance for field personnel and reviews, through reports and other means.
• Assists the Regional Director with directing, coordinating, and executing policies and procedures necessary in the administration of the National grading program for QAD commodities.
• Interviews applicants and selects qualified individuals for vacant positions.
• Assists the Regional Director in monitoring funds obligated, expended, and collected in the execution of the program.
• Maintains contact with State Commissioners of Agriculture and Directors of marketing activities, with whom cooperative agreements are maintained.
• Makes binding determinations on formal appeals, from decisions made by subordinate supervisors.

Your new job as a Construction Client Service Director will be working for a specialist Independent Lloyd's Insurance Broker with offices based around the UK to include the City, Watford and the Southeast who provide, unparallel services to meet client demands and needs. They have more than 100 staff across the offices and are looking to expand that number further. Due to substantial growth within the Construction team a position for a Construction Client Service Director with UK Construction ( CAR) and related risks has arisen.


Your new role
Your new role will be working as Construction Client Service Director based within their London offices will be hybrid working 3 days in the office, (the rest from home) . You will be responsible for fully servicing a book of Construction clients, as well as try to encourage growth plans for your allocated client portfolio by cross selling new and renewal business. Dealing with your clients from inception to completion alongside Account Executives and Account Handlers. Your new role will also include developing and enhancing relationships with key insurers and underwriters and work closely with the other divisions in forging long-term relationships with existing and new clients. This role will also include advising on existing products. This is an all-encompassing Client Director role which is very client centric and will require your Technical and Account management experience to work as part of an established Construction team in looking after your allocated clients and helping to grow the business,

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Senior Construction Account Executive or Client Director with CAR experience will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience of working to multiple priorities and working across a range of tasks Educated to Good standards ( i.e. A Level or equivalent) or enough experience in a previous role to demonstrate suitable skills and ideally minimum Cert CII qualified.
