We are looking for passionate and proactive Senior support workers to join our team in the Children’s Home at Beaulieu House. This rewarding role involves supporting children with behaviours that challenge and complex medical needs to achieve their full potential.



This is an exciting opportunity for someone with good experience working in health and social care. Either looking for progression or someone with Senior experience looking for a new challenge. As a Senior support worker, you will be leading shifts and support the staff team with the young people.



For the role you will need the follow skills:

- Planning and setting up activities for a wide range of young people.

- Supporting our young people with their daily routine, accessing activities, personal care, supporting with medical needs, developing new skills and most importantly ‘having fun’.

Working at Beaulieu House you will be supported to gain the necessary qualifications and skills to be able to succeed in your role. As a Senior support worker, you will have the opportunity to complete your level 5 in Leadership and management in Health and Social care. Working within the council will also give you the opportunity to progress further into a career in Social Care. Many of our team have progressed into Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, and Social Worker roles.

The Service is open 52 weeks of the year, we work to a responsive rota which provides staff with 6 weeks rota at a time. The successful candidates will be working a mixture of earlies, lates, and weekend shifts. As a Senior support worker, you will also have on-call shifts.

Our shifts patterns are 07:00 – 14:30 and 14:15 – 22:00.

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at MHA you will lead and inspire a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. In addition, you will administer medication and maintain clear and accurate records. Every day will be different and you'll have the opportunity to use your leadership and people skills to make a real difference.

About you

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.

You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks will also be strengths.
