ABOUT THE CLINICAL DEPUTY CARE HOME MANAGER ROLE
Within your role as the Clinical Deputy Care Home Manager you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff.
Support the Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures, and business objectives.
Prepare the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
Responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to work alongside our current specialist teams across Bedfordshire. This is a part time post working Monday to Friday, this is currently a hybrid working role.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to a range of local partners

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.

As a Support Worker, you will be working as part of a focused team in maintaining the personal care needs of our residents, respecting their dignity and promoting their independence at all times. You will also ensure that our care services are of a consistently high standard and help in caring for our residents, and undertake other general day-to-day activities in our home.

The school will have capacity for 48 pupils ages 4-11 years old and is due to open January 2025.

Our New Options School will cater for pupils who have ASC and Complex Needs.

About the role

We require an experienced and qualified teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school. We are particularly looking for candidates with the experience to take on responsibility for Numeracy in the whole School.

You will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop. The pupils may display some challenging behaviour due to their different needs, so staff are required to have experience teaching in an SEN school or have previous experience of working with SEN pupils.

Within this role, you will teach pupils in a fun and engaging way. You will also work with the support staff within the classroom to ensure that each pupil is getting the support they require, but also to ensure the smooth running of sessions and allow each pupil to have a positive learning environment. You will provide feedback to SLT, parents and carers.

For this role, you should:

Have a UK QTS or QTLS.
Have previous experience teaching in an SEN school or have previous experience of working with SEN pupils.
Have experience teaching and be able to plan fun and engaging sessions.
Have the ability to lead the development of Numeracy programmes across the school.

Our new Options Autism School - Claystone School in Luton, Bedfordshire will have capacity for 48 pupils ages 4-11 years old and will cater for pupils who have ASC and Complex Needs and is due to open January 2025.
