- Shifts available - Early, Late, Sleep nights with some mid-shifts for 2:1 support

- It is essential that you hold a UK/ET driving licence for this role

Dimensions are delighted to soon be providing support to a gentleman, in his forties with learning difficulties, living in his own home in Cardiff, CF5.

'P' is a complicated gentleman so it is crucial that you are experienced in supporting people who can have complex emotional responses to people and situations. You will be fully trained in Positive Behaviour Management, which is bespoke to 'P' needs. You will need to feel confident in loan working.

'P' will require your focused support in areas of interpersonal interactions and social communication. He can struggle to understand social rules and boundaries so your ability to support him to navigate the world around him, and keep himself safe, in a consistent manner, will be crucial in maintaining his safety and independence.

'P' leads a very full life, enjoying two days a week in a work placed day service, where he works in a café. He also enjoys going to the gym, cycling, shopping and walks. One of 'P's aspirations is to increase his social circle further. At home he spends a lot of time chatting with his support team, playing pool, watching TV and using the Internet.

This is a fabulous opportunity for a person who wants to progress their career within Social Care as you will be supported by dynamic Managers, who are very involved in the support settings and invest a lot of time in the development of their team members.

You will join a team of both experienced colleagues, and also relatively new team members, supporting three wonderful, independent gentleman in their supported living home.

Energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive, positive-risk taking approach is key, as is up front, clear and consistent communication, with strong organisational skills. IT skills are important too - you don't have to be a whizz, but competent!

Being a proactive, engaging and caring individual, who is also a competent and confident Practice Lead for your colleagues, you will promote our values to ensure the best outcomes for the people we support.

With an eye for detail, you will play a key role in ensuring support plans are up to date and relevant. You will also aid your colleagues to maintain a high level of compliance and safety in the homes you work in.

One of our Cardiff managers, who very rarely has a need to recruit, is looking to bolster his support teams over the coming month due to new people moving into the homes he manages.

He is looking for proactive and caring people to join his experienced colleagues, across five homes in Cardiff. You will be supporting people with both learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
