Support Worker

39 hours per week - £12.00 per hour
About the role
As a Support Worker you will be able to contribute to changing people’s lives and help the people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support.
You will enable them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.
You would be supporting 2 males with learning difficulties, one person is non-verbal and the other has limited communication.
You would need to provide support with:
Personal care
Daily tasks
Medication administration
Day to day activities
Meal preparation
Morning and bedtime routine
There can be challenging behaviour involved. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience of working with adults with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Drivers are preferred but are not essential.
Shift pattern and working hours
Successful applicants will cover a variety of shifts:
10 am – 10 pm
Sleepover
7 am – 10 pm
9 am – 5 pm
Sleepover shifts are essential
An enhanced Adult PVG will be required for this role.
