What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a US Property Underwriter dealing with Binding Authorities will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have proven underwriting experience within the US property (delegated authority) space, understanding of the property market in the US, and an understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of property underwriting and binding authority management.You will ideally be ACII qualified or working towards completion.
You will also have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, an ability to offer creative solutions, a professional attitude when dealing with all aspects of work and client relationships, and commitment to the needs of clients and strong relationship management skills.

Your new company is a regional construction firm based in London. As the Construction Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the senior management team to ensure the successful, timely, and high-quality delivery of construction projects within the Estate. This position will require you to be the go-to expert in Health and Safety (H&S), leading initiatives to ensure that every construction project is fully compliant with legal standards. Your responsibilities will include engaging across various departments within the civil service to foster a culture of safety, enhancing internal H&S capabilities, and rigorously analysing projects to identify and implement targeted safety interventions.

Ideal candidates for this role will have a minimum of five years of experience working on construction projects and will hold Chartered Membership with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Key accountabilities:

Strategic and technical support to the Property directorate, ensuring the safe delivery of construction projects for the group

Skills and Experience:

Professionally recognised health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH and have CMIOSH membership with IOSH or similar or working towards).
Background in health and safety construction delivery.
A track record of addressing compliance issues and supporting health and safety across construction and facilities teams.
A minimum of 5 years' experience of the delivery of complex construction programmes across a widely varying estate.
Demonstrate significant experience in project/programme health and safety management, delivering works against challenging deadlines.
Active member of a professional engineering trade organisation / body or working towards joining one.
