Health and Safety Officer - Based in Glasgow (hybrid working)

Salary: up to £39.5k per annum plus £4500 car allowance

The Health and Safety Office will be responsible for coordinating, supporting and advising on all aspects of Health and Safety. Alongside key internal stakeholders they will contribute to and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems. The Health and Safety Officer will also develop a full programme of inspections, audits and checks and will be key in establishing and providing ongoing support for Health and Safety Champions throughout the organisation.

The ideal candidate must be a qualified in Health and Safety, NEBOSH preferred, with recent hands-on experience in a similar role. Ideally they will be familiar with social care or similar providers and comfortable with supporting a multi-site organisation. We are looking for someone who is comfortable as a lead competent person in Health and Safety. You’ll have an up to date knowledge of legislation and be confident communicating with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and able to alter your tone and style accordingly.

- Support Water Companies in delivering large capital programmes, providing an essential service, and improving the environment.

Role overview

We are looking for a Property and Inventory Coordinator to conduct apartment move in condition inventories, inspections and move
out inventories at our brand new luxury community, Candleriggs.
You'll inspect and take photos of the properties to support your assessment and clearly dictate your findings to enable an
inspection report to be created for our residents. With great customer service skills, you'll also liaise with residents,
returning deposits and conducting move-outs as required.

What will you do?

* Prepare property condition reports before residents move in (via an app and tablet)
* Carry out inspections whilst taking clear photographs within the properties
* Book in and complete periodic mid-term property inspections - ensuring all is being well maintained
* Complete all reports and paperwork needed, ensuring all is always compliant and deadlines are met
* Arrange check out appointments, liaising with residents regarding any deductions (where required)
* Release deposits, raising any work orders needed
* Liaise with our maintenance teams and third party contractors to arrange and book any required repair needed
* Report maintenance issues identified to relevant property manager
* Prepare handover packs and resident guides
* Organise and prepare pre-tenancy 'sparkle' cleans
* Arrange EPC, furniture installation and removal
* Ensure all administration workload is fully compliant and all required deadlines are met
* Support our residents with any questions they may have
* Support our wider teams, covering our Front of House / Reception
* Support and attend our resident and community events



What are we looking for?

* Excellent communication skills
* High organisation skills, with admin and diary management experience
* Previous experience working in a fast paced environment

* Impressive attention to detail - with an eye to note all features, issues and any damage within properties

We have a current opportunity for a Property Services Officer on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Glasgow and will initially be for 3 months. The role will be office based (unless out on site).

The main duties of the role will be:

• Carry out pre inspections as required to assess the nature of the repair and record on job line
• Monitor and control the external contractor's performance against stated targets and monitor quality of work.
• Bring any instances of poor performance to the Contractor's attention
• Receive and retain copies of works orders, signed by the customer or member of staff to confirm completion date/time.
• Carry out post inspections in accordance with stated targets
• Report findings of pre and post inspections.
• Check, certify or query invoices as necessary and pass to the Repairs & Compliance Assistant who will then enter cost of work onto database
• Ensure all void properties are pre and post inspected and co-ordinate repairs to achieve target timescales with external contractors

Previous experience working in a similar role is essential.

We are seeking to recruit two Commercial Solicitors with pragmatic and commercial legal focus to join our well established SSEN Transmission legal Team.

The SSEN Transmission Legal Team supports the SSEN Transmission business which owns and operates the electricity transmission network in the north of Scotland, transporting energy from where it is generated to where it is needed, providing a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the communities it serves. Home to some of the UK's greatest resources of renewable energy, SSEN Transmission is playing a critical role in the transition to a low carbon future, developing, building, maintaining and operating a network for net zero.

This is an exciting and strategically important time for our business as we deliver an ambitious business plan to maintain and grow the north of Scotland transmission network. You will work with colleagues across the business including project delivery, asset management and operations, procurement and regulation whilst advising on a variety of construction and commercial matters. You will provide proactive and pragmatic legal advice on a range of commercial, construction, regulatory and procurement matters and ensure legal risks are understood and managed. What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

- A qualified solicitor in Scotland with relevant PQE of around 0 - 5 years.

- An ability to build strong working relations with clients, stakeholders, external Legal Counsel and the wider SSE Legal team.

The Estate caretaker is required
1. To carry out a general environmental maintenance service to tenement backcourts, gardens and common areas including de-littering, removal of bulk refuse, tidying up and sweeping out bin shelters.
2. To carry out a close cleaning and window cleaning service to tenement closes and selected flats.
3. To carry out a clearance and cleaning service to empty properties, including removal of bulk items, dismantling of fixtures, post-renovation cleaning etc.
4. To remove or paint over graffiti on Association and other properties in the area.
5. To assist with handy person duties as required.
6. To undertake a variety of recycling tasks as required.
7. To carry out any other duties appropriate to the post.
