Your new role
An Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) supports the Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing and monitoring all costs related to construction projects. The AQS helps ensure that projects are completed within budget, comply with specifications, and achieve value for money, while maintaining high-quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed

About the role of Project Quantity Surveyor:

Exciting opportunity for an experienced project quantity surveyor to join a growing and reputable London based contractor working on design and build projects across multiple sectors, including commercial workplaces, science, technology and education. Needs to have previous experience with frameworks and design and build projects but doesn't necessarily need to come from a main contractor background.

Responsibilities for Project Quantity Surveyor:

• Working from the PCSA/2 Stage tender process, to delivering the site, outlining frameworks and working through to completion and final accounts.
• Managing Packages.
• Managing Sub-Contractors.
• Site Meetings.

Requirements for Project Quantity Surveyor:

• 2 years minimum of design and build and frameworks experience.
• Main or sub-contractor background.
• Degree qualified and needs to be construction based.

About you

• Undertaking an accredited course by the Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES)
• Alternatively, a degree with some numerical or technical bias is an advantage. Relevant HND subjects include building/construction, urban and land studies, civil engineering and structural engineering
• A degree in QS and relevant experience obtained (desirable)

Your new role
To lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional service within the Asset Management Service.

Qualifications Required:
English and Maths: Level 2 or above OR equivalent experience / willingness to gain.

Knowledge and experience using software to order stock and equipment such as netsuite
Desirable:
A qualification relating to Health and Safety or a willingness to gain

A first aid qualification or a willingness to gain
