Role Description
As a Real Estate Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for managing an inventory of 100+ residential property listings. You are the brain of the Squad you belong to, defining the listing strategies, pricing policies and valuation methodologies. On a day-to-day basis, you review and approve the valuations produced by the pricing analysts, recommend listing prices based on data-driven research and insights, and fuel your team with your expertise. You will be instrumental in ensuring that your Squad, comprising of sales and client success team members, achieves its revenue growth targets.
As part of the team, you hold the keys to determining the risk we choose to take on in our portfolio by driving an ongoing dialogue between the sales team and clients. You contribute and lead projects that make our data, reporting, pricing methodology, workflows, software, and advice to clients top-tier.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct market analysis to understand volumes and price trends;
- Review and approve indicative valuations of residential properties;
- Manage, with full ownership, an inventory of 100+ property listings for sale or rent;
- Propose and implement innovative pricing strategies aimed to sell high and fast;
- Drive high-impact projects that leverage data to deliver real estate agency services like no other;
- Identify action items to clear your listing inventory and get them executed by the sales team;
- Meet regularly with the Sales team and clients to provide pricing guidance;
- Coach and manage a team of pricing analysts;
- Improve our products and processes by working with our software product team.
Ideal Candidate
You are a driven self-starter and a data-savvy individual with some experience valuing properties in the real estate industry. Fundamentally, you enjoy valuation work but crave opportunities to contribute directly to the business and advise our clients regarding the biggest financial decision of their lives.
You thrive on being a trailblazer in defining our scientific methodology for valuing residential properties, one that our clients can consistently depend on.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from a top university;
1+ years of experience in the valuation or advisory team of a real estate firm;
- Language: Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication enabling effective communication with clients and the sales team to facilitate guidance and advice;
- Strong understanding of and passion for the local residential market;
- A deep interest to simplify and bring sophisticated real estate science to the average consumer;
- Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills with a focus on actionables;
- Advanced MS-Excel / G-Sheet skills, including complex modelling;
- Client-centric with a commitment to achieving the very best for our clients;
- Good level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence;
- Entrepreneurial drive with an open mindset;
- Perfectionist mindset with very strong attention to details;
- Nice to have (not required): Appraiser or RES licence.
