Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key insurers and underwriters, collaborating closely with other divisions, Account Executives, and Handlers to build enduring connections with existing and new clients. Offer advice on existing products and demonstrate extensive expertise in a wide range of Construction products and relevant contract terms.
Other duties will include having overall responsibility for your assigned client relationships and provide assistance as needed for other clients, including liaising with specialised PI and Surety teams. Collaborate with other areas to identify cross-selling and expanded services opportunities, aiming to maximise product sales across the existing client base. Support the Construction team in achieving cross-selling opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as an Account Executive handling UK Construction business will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will need be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from inception to completion. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.

Your new role
Your new role working as an Construction Account Executive will be working for an
expanding team in the City of London and or their NW London office handling UK Construction, both annual policies and single projects business. This role will include managing existing clients effectively, proactively developing and attaining company's income and growth objectives for an assigned client portfolio, meeting renewal, cross-sell, and new business targets within specified deadlines and budgets. You will be responsible for dealing with you clients from inception to completion. About the role of M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

As an M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor you will have the chance to work with a leading MEP sub-contractor, with this project being based in North West London. This project involves managing the technical aspects of a project that has recently begun. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and receive support from the Commercial Manager on site.

Responsibilities for M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Feasibility, Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
• Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets & bills of quantities.
• Liaising with clients & contractors to ensure the budget requirements are met.
• Managing cashflow for large MEP packages throughout delivery.
• Compiling and issuing commercial reports to the project leadership team for CVR's
• Preparing forecasts and reports on financial status and cash flow.
• Ensuring that the month on month cash position is positive and the forecasted project margin is met or exceeded.

Requirements for M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Experience with commercially managing high value M&E projects.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, Excel skills being a must.
• Knowledge of tender processes and have experience in handling contracts and legal issues.
• Experience of M&E Quantity Surveying and financial knowledge of construction costs.
• An understanding of contracts and the tender process as well as being able to read drawings and understand contracts.
