We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a £50 million scheme near Hammersmith & Fulham that is phase 2 of a multi phased scheme negotiated with the client.
The project is construction of new mixed use development that contains school both primary and nursery, housing both private and affordable along with retail and leisure spaces and is the 2nd phase of a multi phased development.
Your role is to lead and manage the project commercial team on site, work with the estimating, design and delivery teams to establish best practice and delivery methods, Deal with the client and all the external stakeholders for the scheme.
You will be responsible for all the financial forecasting and reporting and use your acumen and skills to maximise margins whilst not delaying or compromising the build programme or quality of the finish. You will take the lead on the new development opportunities from the client and take a hands on approach with the larger complex subcontract packages such as groundwork's and services. You will help to train, mentor and develop the team on site and be responsible for new appointments and building the final project team.
The longer term strategy will involve developing existing business streams whilst exploring potential new markets, clients and projects from the regional hubs in Berkshire and Cambridge from the framework opportunities they target to negotiated repeat business opportunities with a range of trusted clients.
The contractor are a Tier 1 national business who work on schemes £30 million upwards, are family owned and are a great company to work with and offer career development, training and external qualifications to all their staff and their staff retention is industry leading.
Ideally you will have worked for a Tier 1 contractor on a major project either as an MQS looking for your next challenge or an SQS looking to make the next step up to manage your own major scheme.
