We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and creative Brand and Design Assistant to join our Brand and Design team, which sits within the Communications department. The team works across a variety of Sanctuary brands to deliver a range of materials
- from brochures and signage, to video animations and social content.
The role of Brand and Design Assistant will include:

- Assisting the Brand and Design Officers in the production of consistently high quality, creative and professional design solutions for a wide range of materials for digital and print distribution which meets the brand guidelines
- Assisting the Brand and Design Officers in the creation of engaging animated videos for our customers and staff
- Assisting and monitoring and coordinating the quality, style, design and production of materials produced by other departments and subsidiaries to ensure that the brand guidelines are applied accurately across Sanctuary
- Support external processes with designers, printers and suppliers to ensure that an effective design service is delivered to meet the needs of the Group
- Supporting and advising stakeholders on the most effective promotional material and cost-effective solutions for their audiences, including providing support through the production of printed material in order to offer an effective service


Skills and experiences:

- Practical knowledge of a range of design software packages including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
- Working knowledge of data protection, copyright law, regulations and legislation
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal confidently with people at all levels
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to plan effectively and meet tight deadlines with a meticulous eye for detail

THE ROLE:

• Attend specification meetings with global customers.

• Carry out risk assessments.

THE PERSON:

• Experience using SolidWorks or similar.

You will work closely and effectively with all members of the individual’s support network, including their families, social workers, NHS professionals and voluntary agencies.

You must be able to build warm and trusting relationships with individuals, based on respect and unconditional positive regard. You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills and be confident in liaising with external agencies. You must be able to work in a work in a reliable and accountable manner and have the ability to carry out the role of Key Worker, contributing to needs/risk assessment and the development of person-centred support plans.

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of mental health needs and the challenges experienced by people who may have experienced trauma and adverse life events. A relevant qualification (such as a Health & Social Care Diploma or degree in psychology) would also be desirable.

Your work base will be the supported living service which is located close to Redditch town centre and comprises of 14 well designed, self-contained one bed apartments, with a communal lounge and on-site staff office.

This role will require you to work shifts on a 7 day rota, which will include evenings, weekends. And bank holidays. You may be required to undertake additional sleep-in duties on the premises for which a generous additional payment is made.

Part-time hours will be considered subject to a minimum of 15 hours per week.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To become a Junior Graphic Designer in our Marketing department, we need someone who is creative, organised and has great attention to detail.
The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Although this position is centred on our Bromsgrove campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
To find a more detailed list of your day-to-day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. In summary, as someone who has experience in a graphic design/related role., you will support in many aspects. To name a few:
Support the Senior Graphic Designer to produce print and digital artwork for college publicity, including College prospectuses, outdoor media, internal publications and digital media.
Work to a set brief and timescales to produce artwork that is within the parameters of the corporate brand guidelines and agreed style.
Keep abreast of new equipment/software developments including but not limited to Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
