Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking a skilled Electrical Architect/Engineer to oversee all aspects of missile development, from the initial concept stage to series production and in-service support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enhance their engineering experience.
As an electrical architect/engineer with prior experience, you will be crucial in designing the electrical architecture, missile system, and launcher requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Technical Experience Required: Electrical/Electronics/Systems engineering (Essential)
- Interfaces; Data communication
- Knowledge of defence/industry standards, etc.
- HND or Degree level qualification in a related subject. Ideally, this would be within a defence-related background; however, experience within other engineering industries may be considered.
- Systems Engineering
- Writing reports
Experience within these other areas is also of interest but not essential
- Power supplies; Sensors; Actuators; Defence; Weapon Systems
- Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS)
- Model Based Engineering (MBE)
- EMC
- ATEX regulations.
What you'll get to do as an Electrical Architect/Engineer:
This involves defining the electrical architecture based on requirements, establishing the power architecture and safety design, defining interface characteristics between subsystems, determining requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening, supporting test activities, and reviewing and authoring guidelines and processes related to design.
Alternatively, acting as the Equipment Manager (RMO) for specific electrical/electronic equipment(s), you will:
- Project manage the equipment(s) on behalf of the project during development, qualification, and manufacture
- Produce Statement(s) of Work for the associated design authority
- Technically manage internal & external suppliers to deliver the equipment(s) work packages to time, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
- Review qualification verification evidence and control assigned budget(s) for both activities and manage your workload.
