The Role

As a Graphic Designer, you will create visually impactful publications, images and multimedia presentations to support our communication and branding efforts.

About You

Do you want to turn your passion for engineering design into a rewarding career? Our 4-year apprenticeship gives you hands-on CAD experience creating advanced designs for the Royal Navy fleet.

About the programme:
This is no ordinary engineering apprenticeship. As a design and draughtsperson, you'll produce detailed drawings, models and specs to guide the manufacture and maintenance of state-of-the-art maritime vessels and infrastructure.

Focusing on electrical, mechanical or structural design, you'll work on varied projects including submarine and warship refits. Using the latest CAD software and following codes and standards, you'll help to solve real-world engineering challenges.

You'll gain a broad range of skills including:

• Interpreting technical specifications.
• Assessing design factors and constraints.
• Creating CAD models and drawings.
• Evaluating and refining designs.
• Communicating options to stakeholders.

You'll also have the opportunity to embark on work placements across the site, gaining valuable insights into various operations from a design perspective.

As a Creative Arts Therapist, what does a typical week look like for you? With us, your day would start with a morning briefing, where you'll share updates and hear about the impactful work being done throughout our Integrated Therapy team.

To be a successful Creative Arts Therapist, you’ll need:

- A recognised Post Graduate qualification in Art Therapy/Music Therapy or Drama Therapy along with HCPC Registration.

The Design and Technology department at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School is a well-resourced and modern department. It comprises 3, fully-equipped teaching areas, a new food room, 2 computer suites incorporating 2 laser cutters, and a technicians’ room. There is a dedicated sixth-form engineering area that contains CNC machines and a 3D printer.

Staff currently deliver the full D&T curriculum to all year groups and are adaptable to cover all aspects of the syllabus.

Essential experience of the Business Architect

• Excellent communication skills, able to distil and convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Able to guide and influence customer understanding and thinking.
• Significant practical experience of the application of model driven architecture (framework agnostic) in support of business transformation.
• Able to guide and lead less experienced team members in model driven architecture.
• Domain experience in engineering and asset management preferably the context of any of naval marine, defence equipment and support and nuclear (defence and civil).
