What the role is

The Infrastructure Planning & Design Department1(IPDD1) under the Waste Infrastructure & Engineering Division (WIED) plans and carries out the engineering design and development of infrastructures for collection of general waste and disposal of waste treatment residues, and redevelopment of closed landfills. You will be part of the landfill development branch (LDB) in charge of implementing infrastructural development for landfill related facilities. You will be required to work closely with various stakeholders in the government & private sectors.

What you will be working on

The Engineer/ Executive Engineer/ Senior Engineer will be part of the project team to lead a team of engineering executives and specialists to ensure safe and optimal development of development projects. The key responsibilities in this post include conducting engineering feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, planning, design/financial review and formulate programme/action plans. He/she will be responsible to call tenders and administer contracts that are undertaken by the team. For projects with construction phases, he/she will have to supervise and lead a team of engineers to ensure a timely implementation of the development. The scope of work shall include, but not limited to:

• Oversee the management of the various development projects, obtain planning approval and funding support.
• Plan and implement project schedules in accordance to contract and requirements.
• Oversee, manage and administer the procurement process to select and appoint project consultants and contractors.
• Manage consultants in carrying out feasibility/prelim design/detailed design studies.
• Supervise and manage consultants/contractors to ensure that the infrastructures are developed in a timely and cost-effective manner, in compliance with the tender requirements.
• Plan and manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects.
• Work and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders of projects.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain plans and exercises to ensure operational readiness of infrastructure.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in construction project management would be advantageous
• Knowledge in project management, environmental impact assessment, environmental baseline study, building plans and engineering drawings would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Stage

• Assists in preparing the key commercial control documents such as the Procurement Schedule, Cashflow Forecast and Margin Improvement Strategy to ensure the project is well planned.
• Sending enquires to the market for the assigned packages,
• Make the team & client aware of the long lead items & get clients approval for ordering the materials by air freight.
• Analysing subcontractor and supplier tender returns.
• Flag any risks such as discrepancies in the tender documents to the lead estimator.

Post-Contract

• Evaluating quotations & having meetings with sub-contractors to ensure that there are no scope gaps and the cost fit within the budget, finalising the best quotation with the Commercial Manager and prepare the order for approval.
• Monitoring project cash flow against the forecast, with view to ensuring the project is always cash positive.
• Own and administer works packages delegated by project manager to final account, inclusive of monthly payment, dealing with variations and all matters pertaining to administering their subcontract correctly.
• Assist in change management, inclusive of the valuation of variations, quoting Request for Proposal (RFP)’s, issuing the respective notices, up and downstream, all within the timelines of the main contract.
• Assist commercial lead in all required commercial monthly reporting both internally and to the client.
• Always look to improve margin, and suggest ways to do so to project lead and assist in techniques employed.

2. Conceptualizes and creates storyboard for interactive marketing videos which may incorporate sound, full-motion graphic, text and/ or graphics.
3. Provide creative direction and coverage of events (photo-taking and video filming).
4. Meet development deadlines and adjust to unanticipated changes.
5. Communicates effectively with clients, vendors and stakeholders.
6. Undertake any other adhoc design work as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Degree/Diploma in Motion Graphic, Film, Multimedia or related discipline with one (1) or two (2) years of related working experience.
2. Experience in handling videos and DSLR cameras, lights and sound equipment.
3. Familiar with digital technology and editing software including Adobe Creative Suite – Premiere Pro, After Effect, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, MS Office in Mac.
4. Highly creative with a good eye for details and ability to work independently.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
6. Well-organized, strong sense of urgency and good time management skills.

1. Perform on stage in front of a live audience.

3. Attend rehearsals and confer with other band members.

4. Work with the music director to fine-tune the performance.

5. Arrange for musical instruments or props to arrive at gigs.

6. Interpret criticism from directors.

7. Memorize lines or musical notes.

1. Talented and Creative – well-versed in a range of styles and have the ability to connect with various audiences through rhythm and melody, able to adjust actions in relation to audiences’ actions, resulting in attracting more customers to the club

2. Knowledgeable – Able to sing many songs to entertain audiences
