- Serve as an Architect for the Installation responsible for planning, interpreting, modifying and/or adapting standard designs in order to meet design requirements.
- Utilize computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) systems and design industry computer software to fully develop facility designs, specifications and cost estimates.
- Responsible for the spatial and functional layout and design of real property facilities in support of sustainment and minor construction activities.
- Review architect-engineer firms work to ensure design compliance with building/life safety codes, regulations, and established specifications.
- Communicate effectively in writing in order to prepare, present and evaluate plans, designs, construction submittals, reports and correspondences.
- Develop scope of work for assigned projects in coordination with other architects/engineers.
