Business Services:
- Contribute and advise the HOD (ICT) on technical specifications and market prices of ICT solutions that meet the requirement of the school
- Proactively scan the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching and Learning, and train and update the Centre staff
- Participate in the evaluation of products and provide professional input and recommendation to the HOD (ICT).
Support Teaching & Learning processes:
- Support multimedia services (such as photography, videography, editing, audio recording etc.) during events and training programs conducted by MLCS
- Designing, editing, and developing of video and audio resources for teaching and learning
- Digitizing of resources for archiving purposes
ICT Planning:
- Management of MLCS IT inventory system (e.g. equipment loan records, stock take of IT inventory)
- Manage the maintenance of IT equipment purchased by MLCS
Management and Maintenance of MLCS Website:
- Manage, update and maintain MLCS website
- Design and upload new contents in MLCS website
Administrative Tasks:
- Management and Administration of MLCS website
- Uploading of resources to MLCS website
- Managing ICT matters and assisting in daily administrative duties (pertaining to ICT) as and when necessary
- Oversee and assign work to the Desktop Engineer (DE), as well as work with other 3rd party ICT Trainer (if any) and any other ICT support staff in the school.
- Perform other duties assigned by Centre Director/Staff of MLCS
Training:
- For every training conducted, ensure items such as desktop, projector, projector screen, visualizer, clicker, and extension plug are set up before the training commence. Check the audio and AVA system is working well.
- Ensure the items used/issued are recorded in the ICT inventory equipment file. (Subject to changes, please seek advice from MTTs before setting up)
- Take photos/pictures/record videos for every training conducted. Capture pictures of the trainers & teachers in action (example, while discussion or giving presentation).
- Take pictures of the flip charts/training materials (training booklets/resources) used by the trainees.
- After every training, select and recommend between 15-20 photos per training/day to CDMLCS/RO to be published in MLCS website. (Subject to approval from CDMLCS/RO)
- To develop video clips (5-15 minutes long) to showcase the activities and signature programs (ML Seminar/CAB/Professional Sharing) conducted by MLCS yearly.
ICT Inventory:
- Ensure the movement of the IT equipment are recorded and accountable for. Record every loan of IT equipment in the equipment file. Ensure MTTs/Officers/Facilitators sign in and sign out for the items in the loan record.
- Always ensure that all IT equipment are properly kept in the proper places.
- Do inventory stock take once every 6 months to ensure asset are in place and accountable for. Get the signature of officers/RO and verified.
Future Development of IT Facilities in MCLS:
- Suggest and recommend ideas/solution to improve the IT facilities in MCLS for teaching and learning
- Suggest and recommend the purchase of IT equipment to further assist in enhancing the facilities and conduct of training programme in MLCS.
Troubleshooting:
- Trouble shoot all ICT related issues reported by officers and staff related to (SSOE laptops,desktops, projectors, projection screen, AVA system, equipment etc.)
- Act fast and provide solutions to any ICT related issues or matters encounter at MLCS
- Suggest and provide practical solutions to issues and problems related to ICT matters in MLCS
Support:
- To provide prompt and immediate support to matters related to professional development programme organized by MLCS
- Proactive in providing support to conduct of professional development programme in MLCS
Requirements
- Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Media or equivalent from a recognized educational institution (preferably a Polytechnic Diploma).
- At least a “C6” in Malay Language at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent, as position requires communicating to Malay speaking stakeholders and parents
- Has knowledge on Malay Language (Spoken & Written) as position requires communicating to Malay speaking stakeholders and parents
- Proficient in use of iOS devices (Eg iPads, iMacs, Macbooks)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage
- Good working knowledge of photo-editing, animation, graphic, video editing, educational apps, website design
- Excellent team-player who is organized, meticulous and with the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proactive and forthcoming in performing job functions
- Inventory management and maintenance of IT equipment
Working hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
