Design and Development Engineer

Our client in Whitstable has an exciting opportunity has arisen as a Design and Development Engineer. The role will include designing, verifying, preparing and maintaining detailed technical design drawings, schematics or specifications using CAD software and Microsoft software packages ready for manufacture.

Other duties will include:

• Preparing Manufacturing Instructions as required for new products.
• Resolving manufacturing issues within Production
• Readiness reviews at the early stages of product design and development
• Interfacing with both internal and external customers during the design process.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with a good understanding of electrical principles
• Experience in Military industry; or Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Subsea or Medical industries
• Solid Design Engineering background
• Mechanical Engineer with a basic understanding of data rates and electronics
• Experience working within a team

Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00am - 16:30pm
• Friday: 08:00am - 13:00pm
