The Commission is looking for an experienced senior leader to serve as the Deputy Secretary in the Office of the Secretary. The Deputy Secretary, reporting directly to the Secretary of the Commission, serves as a technical and program advisor. The incumbent assists the Secretary in providing direction to a diverse team of professionals in all matters relating to the receipt, distribution, orderly processing and coordination of filings for proceedings before the Commission; and for serving all official actions of the Commission as required under the Federal Power Act (FPA), the Natural Gas Act (NGA), Energy Policy Act of 2005, the Interstate Commerce Act, and other organic statutes. The Deputy Secretary serves as the Secretary’s expert advisor for developing plans and programs for effective management of OSEC program areas and maintains strong, effective working relationships with both internal and external constituencies. The incumbent serves as the chief advisor to the Secretary of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission or FERC) advising the Secretary in the development of plans and programs for the effective and efficient management of all program areas of the Office of the Secretary (OSEC). Major Duties:

• Responsible for developing internal procedures to carry out day-to-day operations in accordance with governing laws, regulations, guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures of FERC and OSEC. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the Judiciary Budget Officer and Chief of the AO's Budget Division responsible for coordinating the formulation of the Federal Judiciary's annual budget request to Congress and the development and execution of annual spending plans for the Judiciary. The budgetary responsibility encompasses $10 billion in annual mandatory and discretionary appropriations. The Budget Division apportions funds, allocates resources, monitors spending, and produces special analyses and reports on budgetary issues. The Judiciary Budget Officer directs or provides oversight for all stages of the annual budget formulation and budget execution processes for the Federal Judiciary.
