Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a key part of our caregiving staff, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including assisting with walking, transfers, and exercises
Administer medications as required and monitor residents’ health, reporting any concerns to the nursing team
Prepare meals and assist with feeding where necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met
Engage residents in social activities and encourage their participation in recreational programs
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents
Document and report daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions
Requirements
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support (or equivalent)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
1 year of experience in aged care or home care
Compassion and Empathy – Genuine care for residents’ wellbeing.
Effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.
Efficient task prioritization.
Accurate monitoring and documentation.
Collaborative approach to caregiving.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Quick resolution of daily care challenges.
Flexibility to meet varying resident needs.
Health monitoring and infection control.
Discretion and confidentiality.
