We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant & Admin Manager to join our logistics company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the organisation, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and income to ensure financial stability and profitability.
- Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage administrative tasks such as office supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for financial audits and compliance.
- Supervise a team of accounting and administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and achieve business goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA is a plus)
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or Finance Manager, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations of UK.
- Proficiency in accounting software ( we have our own software).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
