Overview and Responsibilities Senior School Admin Location: Aurora Woodlands, Darwen Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Term Time Only Plus 3 weeks (42 weeks per year worked) Salary: £13.67 to £15.27 p/hr / Actual annual salary £26,306 to £29,385 depending on skills and experience The Aurora Group The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Aurora Woodlands School is an independent day school in Lancashire providing specialist education for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The main purpose of the role: To provide administration support to all areas of the school. Working collaboratively and professionally, this role is busy and varied. Key duties: Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to the school team. Provide assistance to the School Business Manager and Central HR teams with recruitment, probationary reviews, performance reviews, appraisals. Support School Business Manager with Processing invoices, Goods receipting, New supplier onboarding and Petty Cash Manage the schools business administration function and deliver timely reports and meet compliance deadlines. Assist and support the School Business Manager in managing and responding to issues relating to the support functions within the school, such as First Aid, Off site activities and Catering
Skills and Qualifications Good level of literacy and numeracy. Demonstrable experience of working in administrative role ideally to include Finance, HR and Pupil administration and/or within an educational or care environment. Computer literacy essential, particularly in Microsoft Office. Accurate typing and Minute taking. Organised and have good time management. Ability to manage workload effectively and multi-task.
