You will serve as a/an Administrative Specialist and be responsible for serving as an Administrative Specialist and office manager for the directorate.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Coordinating all correspondence which flows internally and externally through the Assistant Commandant Directorate.
- Responding to inquiries, administrative tasking and problems brought to the attention of the Assistant Commandant or Executive Assistant.
- Maintaining, organizing, creating and managing administrative files, documents, records and processes.
- Managing Executives' calendar, creating events, prioritizing appointments, accepting and declining meetings and conferences.
- Planning, coordinating and executing travel and tracking travel funds management.
- Managing and providing responses to Coast Guard Task Management Systems (TMS), screening calls and Front Office visitors, and answering most questions.
- Preparing and following up on personnel and related actions such as Officer Evaluation Reports and Civilian performance evaluations.
- Serving as WebTA timekeeper for staff to validate timecards, set work schedules/default schedules and adjust timecards as necessary.
