The School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Professional (STEP) deliver a key part of the College’s provision with programmes ranging from Level 1 to Level 6 HE, including an extensive apprenticeship provision.

The School is divided into a number of sections, with these roles based in the Further Education Business Section. This section delivers a range of vocational Business BTEC Level 1 to Level 3 programmes together with T levels in Accounting and Finance.

We are now seeking two Lecturers, one to teach on a variety of Business courses and levels across the curriculum area, including but not limited to: BTEC Business Studies Level 1, 2 & 3 and a Lecturer with an Accounting / Finance Specialism to teach primarily on the T-Level Finance and Accounting (Level 3) along with the BTEC Business Studies Level 1, 2 & 3.

As Lecturer in Business (Accounting Specialism), you will take responsibility for the group tutorship of one or more of courses within the School and contribute to the development of existing and new provision, as well as the implementation of flexible and cost effective teaching and learning styles.

We’re looking for someone who has excellent teaching skills and relevant teaching experience on BTEC programmes in Business, across a range of levels. You will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress.

With energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, you will have high personal standards and expectations and be aware of academic quality standards. A teaching qualification is not essential however we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.

Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the supervision and resource planning of the Credit Review Group(CRG).
• Provide guidance and further enhance the overall capability of CRG.

• Travel within APAC region is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• 10-15 years’ experience in the areas of credit risk analysis, credit approval and/or credit review function. Audit experience in a leadership capacity would be an added advantage.
• Excellent and extensive knowledge in credit risk analysis, financial analysis/projections and credit rating models across Large Corporates, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, LBO and/or Banks/Non-Banks Financial Institutions.
• General knowledge in Retail and Islamic Finance would be an added advantage.
• Strong ability and confidence to lead the group members effectively with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Good writing and communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred to present and communicate with senior stakeholders at Japan Head Office.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint. Added advantage for knowledge/experience in programming applications e.g. Power BI, Python.

Duties and Responsibilities: Audit and Guidelines Facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical guidelines across the Womens Directorate. To ensure the Directorate is aware of National and Regional guideline changes in practice that may influence local guideline development, to ensure practice remains up to date & evidence based To ensure a robust repository of guidelines within the Directorate is monitored and maintained, to provide assurance to the Division that the guidelines are up to date and in line with current practice. Work with the audit midwife to facilitate the clinical audit programme within the Directorate incorporating local and national audit requirements that support clinical effectiveness. work with the audit midwife in the facilitation of the development of Clinical Audit & Effectiveness activity plans, assisting the Trust Clinical Audit Team. Participate in inter professional working to ensure annual audit programmes incorporate audit and effectiveness projects to meet the organisations governance objectives. This will include: using national benchmarking data e.g., Royal College Guidelines, NICE recommendations, NCEPOD, NMPA, NHSLA and CQC outcomes and regulations. Consult and provide advice to clinical staff on the design and development of proposed audit projects. This may include advice on selecting topics to audit, carrying out literature searches, advising on the appropriate audit methodology in order to promote the completion of the clinical audit cycle. Work with the audit midwife and create appropriate systems and processes for the collection of the data for the audit projects. Provide written and verbal reports and presentations of completed audit projects and current status of guidelines to the relevant multi-professional groups. Support the Governance Team in its work plan to demonstrate compliance with CQC, CNST, Ockenden and other regulatory bodies requirements. To summarise completed audit reports for presentation to relevant meetings within the department and directorate. Support audit project leads in the monitoring of action implementation. Provide support to staff in development of new guidance and alteration to existing guidelines to meet requirements. Communicate with Departmental Managers on clinical issues related to practice. Support line managers in the effective and efficient use and management of resources. Contribute to dissemination of information relating to audit and quality governance across relevant staff groups. Evaluate the clinical audit training and education needs across the organisation, in conjunction with the Governance Team. Work with the Trust library and the Academy to ensure research and clinical effectiveness material is accessible locally to clinical staff and team members. Liaise with other agencies for the purpose of information exchange on audit and related quality activities. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Promote an evidence-based learning culture through the use of clinical audit and up to date guideline used in clinical practice. Prepare monthly progress reports for the maternity services directorate team to ensure compliance with guidelines Provide monthly progress information for inclusion in the directorates maternity safety report to be presented to Trust Board. Develop IT systems and spreadsheets to maintain accurate records of all patient information leaflets, undertaken within the directorate and with service users Communicate with key leads to maximise the potential for the successful implementation of the evidence based guidelines reflecting National Standards & recommendations. Provide timely, accurate progress reports to all stakeholders in relation to guideline & audit activity across the maternity Directorate. In collaboration with other senior midwives/ nurses, managers and clinical leads, contribute to providing oversight of guideline and audit recommendations to improve the safety of women/birthing people, and babies. Work closely with the Governance Lead, Governance Manager, Director and Associate Director of Midwifery, Deputy Head of Midwifery, Matrons, the LMNS, MVP, Clinical Lead and Midwives prioritising workloads which may include undertaking training, audit and guideline development to aid implementation of key national projects for example Saving Babies Lives and attend relevant study days as required. Work closely with the Divisional Governance Lead, Governance Manager the Midwifery/ Nursing Clinical education team for Education and Development. Demonstrate clear, effective extended communication skills with colleagues and other agencies; to ensure effective implementation of objectives. Temporary Technical Insurance Accounting specialist required by leading global insurance business.

Initially for a 6-month day rate contract although likely to extend possibly even permanently.
You will ideally have some insurance experience although specific technical training will be provided.
Must be available to start immediately.

Citi's Internal Audit (IA) division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi’s numerous regulators globally. IA is a change agent within Citi to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

IA maintains a Quality Assurance (QA) function that reports to the Chief Auditor Quality Assurance and the Group Audit Committee. The QA function provides independent assurance that IA has achieved and is maintaining appropriate standards of internal audit delivery (set against both IA’s own internal standards and the Standards and Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors).

The role involves close liaison with the global audit teams to ensure appropriate understanding, access to and the correct application of the IA methodology. In this role, you will be partnering with the audit teams responsible for risk-based audit for Data and Data Transformation coverage globally and also supporting the global QA team.

The role reports to the QA Senior Audit Manager in Mumbai.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate independently as a QA partner across the assigned SME audit teams, forming partnerships at all levels within IA. Support the QA Director (QAD) and Senior Audit Manager (SVP) in fostering a strong QA partnership with the Chief Auditors. 
• Provide assurance over the quality of IA’s work via formal QA products (e.g., Scorecards, Thematic Reviews, Hot reviews and Regulatory/ QA Issue Validation)
• Be a change agent in the continuous improvement program to deliver and maintain a best-in-class QA function, sharing best practices and lessons learned with the IA and QA teams
• Contribute to continued improvement in IA and QA methodology and coverage through the delivery of QA products.
• Assist in the provision of methodology training to auditors, including tailored training as and when needed.
• Assist with periodic ad-hoc projects (e.g., research and development of QA specific training).
• Assist in the review and improvement of global IA methodology and practices, including innovation initiatives.
• Assist the SVP and QAD in reviewing key internal QA deliverables and external deliverables.
• Establish and consistently maintain professional working relationship with key IA stakeholders; assist the QAD and SVP in maintaining IA stakeholder communications through monthly meetings as assigned by the QAD and SVP.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, both internal and external (e.g., regulators).
• Willingness to assist other QADs on an ad-hoc basis to ensure consistent utilization.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in a related role and/ with subject matter expert in any one or subset of the following areas: Data Architecture, Data Extract, transform, and load (ETL), Data Quality, Data Modelling, Data Analysis, and/ or BI tools and Scripting
• Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or certifications on data science or analytics) preferred
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
