Our client is seeking an Accounting Advisory & Data Analytics Manager
Responsibilities
• Interpret and apply complex accounting guidance to serve clients’ accounting and reporting requirements
• Financial statement preparation (10Q, 10K) • Manipulate and analyze large, complex data sets from various sources to distill insights
• Design, build and automate dashboards
• Work and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to create and execute on project scope in an ambiguous environment
• Collaborate with data engineering/data science and other analytics team to establish auditable data models that serve the clients business needs
• Provide exceptional client service with the ability to meet project deadlines and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Take a leadership role in project management and execution (training & mentoring junior staff, project planning, owning technical areas of the project)
Minimum Qualification
• BA/BS degree in an analytical field - Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science/Engineering
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• 5+ years of work experience
• Experience managing teams and projects
• A desire to learn and grow with the company
• Commitment to providing outstanding client service
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starting, intellectually curious, and creative individual operating in ambiguity
• Strong excel experience (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, Go to Special functions, SUMIF, Mid/LEFT/RIGHT)
Preferred Qualification
• Proficient knowledge of accounting and financial concepts / reporting, including ASC 606 (Revenue), ASC 718 (Share Compensation), Financial Reporting, SOX compliance, and forecasting
• Experience with ERP systems, (e.g., NetSuite, Quickbooks)
• Experience with Public Companies
• Experience with Carta
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Query)
• Experience programming in SQL and Python • Experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
