What you'll do

As a Behavioural Risk Audit Manager, you’ll lead, or deliver part of, an audit engagement or behavioural risk innovation project, using your behavioural and data science skills and knowledge, with limited oversight. We’ll look to you to design new robust and feasible approaches to effectively identify and understand behavioural risk, particularly around good customer outcomes.

Your role will also involve:

• Contributing to innovative business insights to identify risks
• Identifying new opportunities and delivering new, or optimising existing research methods, to better identify and understand behavioural risk
• Building relationships with, and identifying new opportunities to work with academics on behavioural risk topics, managing engagements where relevant
• Making sure that audit tools and associated documentation is maintained to high quality through reviews
• Overseeing and coaching other team members where required
• Developing and managing effective stakeholder relationships and being the first point of contact when leading a review

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a relevant qualification in behavioural science with a strong quantitative element such as psychology, economics, finance, data science, or similar. You’ll also need strong experience designing, conducting, and analysing quantitative research methods such as quasi-experimental methods, surveys, lab, or field experiments.

You’ll demonstrate an in-depth understanding of behavioural science theory, particularly around consumer judgement and decision making or household finance. As well as this, we’ll expect an understanding of behavioural risk application in a risk, regulatory, financial services or consultancy context.

You’ll also need:

• The ability to source, prepare, and access data for analysis
• An understanding and experience of developing and testing hypotheses, and drawing inferences from primary research or large data sets
• Proficiency in Python or another coding language and the drive to further develop those skills
• Experience in drawing conclusions from different primary and secondary data sources
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting, coaching, and developing a team

Your new role
As the Internal Audit Manager, you will get the chance to steer the function from a global context. This role provides a unique opportunity to create and implement your own policies and procedures whilst also creating the annual audit plans.
This greenfield position will likely change into the Head of Internal Audit and Compliance within the coming years.

What you’ll do

Day-to-day, you’ll be leading your audit team as they deliver audit engagements on time and to budget while undertaking key aspects of assurance fieldwork and supporting assurance planning.

We’ll look to you to leverage internal audit methodology and tools. You’ll also make sure that our global methodology is fully compliant and accurate. That way the audit management tool is up-to-date. You’ll also build on our internal audit position and influence our evolution of control.

Your other responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the audit engagement team while supporting them through coaching to help them realise their potential

• Undertaking key aspects of assurance fieldwork while taking responsibility for work across the team so it’s delivered on time and provides reliable evidence to support issues and opinions

The skills you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an established internal auditor or risk manager. We’ll expect you to understand risk management principles through a meticulously investigative approach. You’ll also have good written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be able to successfully lead a team in delivering projects while adhering to budget, schedule and quality. You’ll also support your team by identifying talent, coaching and feedback.

You’ll also need:

• Excellent knowledge of IT general controls
• Outstanding subject matter expertise and experience of technology risk management in infrastructure or cyber security
• Great knowledge of technology service operation either as an IT auditor or an IT practitioner

Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Housing Association in London for a Finance Manager (Financial & Rent Accounting) to join the team on a permanent basis. The organisation has over 7,000 homes across nine south London boroughs. They are a provider of homes for rent (social and affordable), shared ownership, outright sale and supported housing and also have a small portfolio of commercial properties and garages.
This role will have line management responsibilities for 4-5 staff members and will provide cover to the Finance Manager - Management Accounting as required. The Finance Manager for Management Accounting will also provide covering support as required.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the Transactions team have support where required for Accounts Payable, Banking and Rent accounting.
• Contribute to project working groups as required with the wider business.
• Ensure all Financial accounting systems are providing accurate and reliable data.
• Ensure that the trial balance is reconciled for annual financial statements.
• Prepare the annual FVA submission file.
• Prepare returns or surveys for NROSH, The ONS or FCA
• Supervise the Financial officers responsible for AP and Rents processing.
• Ensure the AP team process invoices efficiently and in line with Wandle Policies
• Ensure all reconciliations for Banks, Rents, AP and AR are completed each period in a timely manner.
• Provide relevant AR reporting to support credit control processes.
• Provide reporting to ensure Purchase Orders are raised in accordance with policy.
• Work with the Governance Transition Manager to ensure successful implementation of the Dynamics/Redkite automated rent uplift solution.
• Lead on regular training of Social Rent Accounting (Formula rent, affordable rents, etc.)
• Lead the budgeting process for annual rent increases.
• Ensure accuracy of rental transactions and rental accounts within the Dynamics system.
• Input to the year end and internal audit process as required, producing data flows and trails to support all areas of reporting.
• Ensure the data set is consistently allocated at property and scheme level.
• Enhance budget detail and monthly comparisons to actuals.

Candidate Criteria

• Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or Equivalent with extensive PQE
• Experience of reporting within the Social Housing sector with an understanding of the technical accounting and reporting requirements this entails.
• Experience of working on Rent Accounting within a Social Housing environment is highly desirable.
• Experience of operating at a senior level with high-level financial reporting and presenting skills.
• Experience of setting and managing timescales/timetables for work completion in line with internal controls.
• Great communication skills and ability to work professionally and adapt to any team fit.
