Facilitate and lead on Infection Prevention and Control yearly audit and surveillance programme. Undertake Infection Prevention and Control audits, providing initial feedback at the time of audit. Ensuring audits are completed within a specified timeframe. Using specialist knowledge, analyse and interpret trend and variations in infection prevention, cancer care and their indicators and outcomes, supporting planning and evaluation of cancer management guidelines and protocols. The post holder will act as a lead specialist in designing and setting up databases based on the IPC teams requirements.Develop and maintain high quality and highly sensitive information management systems. Demonstrates enhanced data extraction skills in order to correctly reflect/interpret information required. Produce comprehensive and complex reports to Divisions and the Infection Prevention Control Committee on audit work undertaken and the planned programmes of work recorded in the IPC Board Assurance Framework ensuring compliance to the Health and Social Care Act (2012). Maintain and support audit databases including MEG, UKHS DCS and IPC element within DHR, notably Bugsy. Must be able to establish any causes for concern and escalate these appropriately.
