Job Title: Clerical Assistant

Hours: 20 per week (Monday to Friday: 12pm 4pm)

Salary: £11,108.79 - £11,283.09 (Scale 2 pro rata)

Contract: Term Time, Part Time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP after appointment

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Clerical Assistant to provide an efficient and effective clerical support service to the Headteacher and staff of the school.

The successful candidate will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, be conversant with the use of ICT and have experience of office-based work. Experience in an education setting and a working knowledge of SIMS.net is essential.

This role will primarily focus on pupil attendance, pupil data and providing administrative support in our busy school office and being a key point of contact for parents, staff and visitors. The post holder will be working under the direction of the School Business Manager.

We are looking for a suitably qualified person for the post of Clerical Assistant. You must have exceptional customer service skills with a professional attitude and demeanor.

You will be part of a team that provides an efficient, professional and comprehensive administrative support service for a large secondary school.

Applications are invited from persons who have relevant and up to date experience of working in an office where IT is extensively used. You must have good organisational skills and an ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

You will have a good standard of education in literacy and numeracy. You will possess good keyboard skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, together with the ability to learn new skills as required.

You will work 32.5 hours per week on a term time basis.
