Role Summary This role is a key member of the Sussex BCSP Programme and Associated Services administration management team. Work will include:1. The targeted lung health check (TLHC) has been implemented throughout the UK in areas identified with high disease prevalence where significant impact can be made from the recognition of early-stage lung cancer & offering curative treatment. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced respiratory nurse to join our established nursing team as the Team Lead for our Targeted Lung Health Check Programme in Sussex and Surrey. This role will be fundamental to the delivery and running of a high quality and effective service which will identify asymptomatic people, providing early diagnosis of both lung cancer and other lung diseases. You will provide clinical expertise and assist the operations manager in leading the nursing team to organise and deliver services that are joined up and provide seamless care. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running, coordination and delivery of the lung health check service to include line management duties of the nursing team. I require help preparing meals, travelling to locations outside my home, managing administrative tasks (such as making phone calls and remembering to respond to emails), and sometimes managing and communicating in sensorily intense environments. I sometimes require support accessing resources such as books, articles, and websites, or finding relevant information quickly. I enjoy walking and would like to explore new places, be they historical sites or off-road places. In the longer term, I would like to be able to do some of these things for myself, so someone willing to support me in learning the necessary skills would be hugely welcome.

About our School

Selwyn Hall School is a new SEN school in Foxton, South West of Cambridge, which provides specialist education for 7-18 year olds with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Our pupils may have a number of diagnoses including: ASD, ADHD, FASD, anxiety and/or, communication and interaction, cognition, and learning needs. Our small bespoke groupings of 4-6 children ensure that every pupil receives the individual attention they need to succeed.

Role responsibilities

* Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small group of no more than six pupils
* Supporting the Classroom Teacher during lessons
* Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaising with other School staff to ensure pupils needs are met
* Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips
* Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation
* Setting work where appropriate, and marking
* Building positive relationships with your pupil/s and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

* Have a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills.
* Previous experience in a similar role ie, Teaching Assistant
* Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an Educational setting
* Be experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school ie, Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga etc..
* Experience of behaviour management and techniques
* Committed to professional development and willing to learn
* Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.

Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Technician to join the Motor Vehicle team at our Cambridge Campus.

You will provide high quality technician support to learning programmes within the automotive department in addition to undertaking other associated duties. The post holder will also contribute to course design and team meetings, development of practical work for programmes and the expansion of the area generally. The successful applicant to this post will report to the Team Leader in Motor Vehicle for day-to-day duties and for personnel and other non-specific duties. This role could be the starting point to a journey into teaching and assessing for those looking to progress.
The role will predominately based at our Cambridge campus but some travel may be needed to our Huntingdon campus at times.

Main Responsibilities
1. Maintain and repair all equipment in all workshops and training areas.
2. Prepare and set up equipment, tools and assessment areas for practical sessions and demonstrations.
3. Assist lecturing staff during practical sessions and demonstrations.
