As an experienced specialist Community Public Health Practitioner - you will gain training and experiential learning of identifying the heath needs of this complex population and working with the team around them to meet these needs.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to take on the role of Specialist Nurse for Children and Young People in Care in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Children in Care Health Team are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated individual to take a an important role in the delivery and ongoing development of a service to promote and ensure the delivery of high quality specialist health care to Children and Young people in Care.
The Team is hosted within the Community Child Health Department in Truro . You will be managed by the Named Nurse CIC and will work in the Children in Care Specialist Health Team, a team of Specialist Nurses, the Named Doctor and admin support staff.
This post will be Countywide, mainly working in the west of Cornwall. The Children in Care Health Team cover the whole of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and the team’s central admin hub is at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. The post-holder will be required to work flexibly across the area in response to service demands but will be patch allocated within the west of Cornwall.
