We are looking for a General Practitioner (GP) to cover a locum assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at Larkhill Medical Centre, in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

This is a locum role (37 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Job Description – Service Requirements:

• Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctor’s scope of experience and qualification.
• To inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson’s ability to undertake their duties.
• To complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.

Essential Requirements / Qualifications / Experience:

• Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register without Restrictions.
• Must have a current, satisfactory in date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Council’s (GMC’s) Good Medical Practice (GMP).
• Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.

• Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) Experience
• Previous emergency care/response experience.
• Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and/or Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and/or Diploma Occupational Medicine (DipOM).

• To comply with relevant Contracting Authority policy as notified to the doctor.

Academic Support Coach - Key Responsibilities:

* Enable learners with high needs and declared support needs to access learning and college facilities.

* Provide high-quality learning support to aid retention and achievement of high needs funded students and for students with a declared need who are not high needs funded.

* Safeguard and promote the welfare and wellbeing of learners.

* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support provided to ensure it meets the needs of the learner, supporting them in developing independence and achieving identified qualifications, SMART targets, and EHCP outcomes.

As an Academic Support Coach, you will engage with students in various capacities, from enhancing their health & wellbeing to fostering their independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Academic Support Coach - You:

To excel in this role, you should hold qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE C/4) or above and have prior experience supporting young people and adults with profound and moderate learning difficulties.
