Our MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) went live in April 2018. This service incorporates both the requirements of the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 alongside safeguarding our most vulnerable children and adults.

In 2020 Children’s Social Care launched the outcome focused approach social work model which underpins all of our practice in Bridgend County Borough. All new staff will be provided with a suite of training that will support them to develop their practice in line with the principles of the model.

We would love to hear from both experienced Social Workers and those in their first two years of service. If successful you will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring where required. Our “Strengths-Based Model of Practice” supports a multidisciplinary approach to enabling and supporting people who live with issues caused by disability, frailty, and ageing.
We are looking to appoint a full time Social Worker who will be based within the Early Intervention and Prevention Hub, which includes the short-term social work, community support workers and the front door response in Adult Social Care. The team supports a multi- disciplinary approach, with a focus on adults who have multi-faceted complex needs and cognitive decline. This service focuses on outcomes for individuals, maximising individual potential and minimising risk to independence, with an emphasis on choice and control.
A recognised social work qualification and registration with the Care Council for Wales is essential.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
