Job Role: Functional Skills Tutor (Math's and English)
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent position based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

The Role:
Your main purpose is to work within the Functional Skills, delivering functional skills maths and English from entry level 3 to level 2, creating individual learning plans and reviewing learner progress throughout their programme. You will be required to inspire a wide range of learners in cohorts remotely or in the workplace, using both online skills support materials.
Responsibilities:
Deliver and assess functional skills Maths and English level 2.
Provide learner support through a variety of means including face-to-face, telephone, internet and email.
Provide learners with information advice and guidance regarding appropriateness of courses and establish records and learning goals suited to the learner’s needs
Induct learners into the learning environment, courses and systems where appropriate.
Work with the team to develop programmes within your department.
Promote Functional Skills learning in a manner that it becomes an activity valued by the employers and learners we work with.
Promote Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in your sessions.
Manage a case load of learners to achieve timely.
Maintain accurate records within our systems.
Mark work ongoing and provide constructive feedback.
Support tutors with marking and work scrutiny.
Monitor learners progress and support learners with SEN.
Support the job gym team on information, advice and guidance.
Deliver a quality experience in line with Ofsted to ensure we achieve an outstanding.
Qualifications:
English & Maths qualification at level 2 or above.
Level 3 teaching qualification or above.
Desirable – minimum of one year, delivering adult education
Desirable – advice and guidance level 3 or above
