In this context, we are looking to appoint a Cover Administrator to work across both the University Road and Regent Road campuses to ensure that the College provides a purposeful and safe study environment for students and staff and therefore the successful applicant will ideally have experience of working with 16 – 19 year olds.
Previous experience of dealing with students in a classroom environment in a calm manner without direct supervision is essential as is the ability to work in a friendly and professional manner, as much of the work will be student and visitor facing. In addition the successful applicant must possess the ability to use their own initiative as well as work effectively within a team.
Central Administration
It’s an exciting time to join the newly formed Central Administration Team where no two days will be the same. Our purpose is to support the administration and coordination behind the events that take place on the college calendar. The Central Administration Team is home to our Executive Leadership Portfolio Assistants, Curriculum Admin & Cover Administration Team, Reception and the Print Centre.

About the Role

The Employee Service Centre (ESC) is looking to appoint an Improvement Assistant to support some exciting, high-impact projects over the next 12 months.

Forming part of East Midlands Shared Services (EMSS), the ESC is a dynamic and fast-paced service providing transactional Payroll and HR Administration services for our partners, Nottingham City Council & Leicestershire County Council, along with some external customers. You will collaborate with ESC teams to ensure that all guidance and instructions are accurate and accessible, often translating complex technical details into easy-to-understand and jargon-free solutions. This is a critical role in our service, ensuring a smooth customer experience where all users can confidently navigate their self-service options with ease.

The Inclusion Service are looking for a Youth Worker to join our team. You will be working face to face with children and young people who are facing challenges in accessing education, to explore the barriers and support them to re-engage.

About the Role

The youth worker role involves meeting children, young people and families in their homes, at educational establishments, training providers or at community venues and includes the planning and delivery of youth work programmes. Supported by your Manager and an Education Officer, you will be expected to identify barriers, find solutions and advocate for young people, so that schools can make suitable reasonable adjustments. The role involves having a knowledge of wider services to which you would signpost and refer to accordingly.

All work undertaken must be regularly recorded on our database. You will be part of the staff team primarily covering the West of the county, and part of the wider Inclusion Service Team covering the whole county. Travel across the county is therefore necessary, along with a flexible approach as some out of hours working may be required

This is a rewarding job delivering interventions with young people, supporting them to re-engage in education, empowering them for their future, and giving you a chance to be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management: case manage children and young people who have been identified as requiring an intervention. This involves the post-holder undertaking assessments, planning interventions, undertaking interventions with individuals and families, reviewing the work undertaken and closing input at the appropriate time with a robust exit strategy.

Contribute to developing innovative and positive work for groups of vulnerable children, young people and their families and carers. This includes building positive relationships with participants to support them to effectively engage in the programme delivered.

Identify needs and find solutions: Identify unmet needs, barriers to progression and work with the young person and other agencies to find solutions.

To adopt evidence-based practice in the work undertaken with young people. This includes empowering young people and their family members/carers to become more resilient and independent through a basic understanding of the whole family working approach.

Liaison with other agencies: Signpost and refer to other appropriate agencies when wider needs have been identified.

Organise and attend multiagency meetings: In addition to attending multiagency meetings (team around the school meetings) also engage in strategic meetings to support improved outcomes for young people

To liaise and maintain contact with the professionals involved with a child, young person or family, including the effective sharing of relevant information pertaining to the progress of work or concerns.

About You

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
• Significant experience of working with children, young people and families who are vulnerable or from a hard to reach group, in either case work or group work situations, supporting them to achieve educational related outcomes.
• Experience of developing and delivering training and group work.

• Excellent communication and engagement skills, good planning and organisational skills. Good IT skills including the ability to use word processing packages and database management systems, and an ability to work to deadlines.

About the Role

We are looking for a Payroll Control Administrator to join our busy Employee Service Centre (ESC).

The ESC is a busy transactional service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services. We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.

If variety is what you are looking for then, no two days are the same in the ESC, as there is always something to focus on. The ESC completes over 40,000 payments each month, produces over 3,000 contractual documents and handles in excess of 2,000 queries each month.

As a Payroll Control Administrator you will work alongside the control team to process payrolls including running bacs files, providing payslips and reporting to internal and external customers. Payroll Control are also responsible for creating payments to third parties and complete many activities usually found at the end of a payroll cycle which includes reconciliation, submissions to HMRC and much more.

This post is currently a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months. There is a possibility that this will become a permanent position.

About You
