The role
We are currently seeking an experienced Traffic Manager to cover maternity leave. This pivotal role involves managing the planning and scheduling of creative work across our London and Leicester locations, ensuring our teams utilise their time and resources as effectively and efficiently as possible. This is a year long contact and will require you to work a hybrid pattern of three days in the office which will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Monday and Friday being working from home days. You can be based from either our London office (W1) or Leicester office (LE2) but regular travel between the two to meet and understand all of the creative partners you are working with will be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assign and balance workloads across the creative department to optimise productivity.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time or ahead of schedule.
• Maintain or improve the agency’s utilisation rate, focusing on maximising billable hours.
• Collaborate with account management to handle new work requests and project assignments.
• Lead weekly workflow catch-ups for both London and Leicester teams.
• Develop schedules for campaigns and projects in partnership with account and project management.
• Communicate with teams to monitor progress and identify potential roadblocks.
• Provide regular updates to creative leadership on workload, resources, and project status.
• Adjust schedules as necessary and effectively communicate changes.
• Manage external communications for Mission Group, coordinating with the CCO and marketing director.
• Ensure briefs are submitted prior to scheduled meetings.
• Liaise with the broader group to secure additional resources when needed.
• Identify and recommend potential improvements for future workflows.
You will be a detail-oriented person with strong organisational abilities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should remain calm under pressure and be capable of multi-tasking effectively. A solution-oriented mindset is essential, with strong problem-solving skills and an openness to change and the adoption of new technologies. Previous experience in an advertising agency is essential, with demonstrable previous experience in creative department workflow management.
