Major duties include:

• Program administration and clerical needs of the Nurse Education Program, i.e. Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support Program (BLS/ACLS), Nurse Call, Safe Patient Handling Program, and the nursing educational needs for the El Paso VA.
• Responsible for the coordination of administrative duties for the Nurse Education Program in an effort to guarantee the primary goal of optimally ensuring the certification of all the BLS for Healthcare Providers, BLS for Heart Saver and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is obtained.
• Coordinates course for Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; scheduling the classes, managing instructor and participant schedules, obtaining required supplies, and distributing required materials for the courses.
• Orders and maintains an adequate supply of training resources (e.g. space, textbooks, equipment and supplies)
• Responsibility for managing the Nursing & Patient Care Services Website, uploading documents and updating material on the internet.
• Responsible for recording committee minutes, ordering office/medical supplies, placing work orders, and assisting with filing and record-keeping.

The Purchasing Agent maintains responsibility for work leading to the purchase of a wide variety of complex and highly specialized services, supplies, equipment, and systems that support the full range of programs and activities. Major duties and responsibilities include:

GS-12:
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as project manager/team lead to conduct comprehensive wartime manpower requirements determination studies and organizational analysis of the Wartime Analytics Division (MAW). Conducts Total Force (TF) wartime and contingency manpower requirements studies conducted at the request of HQ USAF and other military functional Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPRs), thru the Wartime Analytics Division, Air Force Manpower Analysis Agency (AFMAA), or at the direction of HQ USAF Director of Manpower and Organization (AF/A1M). Manages and validates Air Force unit type codes (UTC) for the Air Force and Joint wartime/contingency planning communities. Conducts comprehensive Geographical Combatant Command studies. Conducts special manpower studies as directed. Leads projects/studies that may cross-utilize other functional areas of expertise within HQ USAF, Sister Services, other major commands (MAJCOMs), or Air Force Manpower Analysis Agency (AFMAA) divisions.

DUTIES FOR GS-11/GS-12:

• Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Air Force Total Force Assessments/Analysis and provides manpower expertise to render advice, and to establish, interpret, and implement policies and procedures to execute the Air Force world-wide accomplishment of the assessment/analysis projects. Knowledge in executing programs and directing wartime force assessment/analysis, unit type code (UTC) management, UTC validation, special analysis, and automated wartime manpower analysis tools development.
• Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manages wartime total force assessments/analysis projects in response to Department of Defense (DoD), Combatant Command, HQ USAF functional requests; planning projects, monitoring engineering team performance and products, and presenting briefings. Serves as subject matter expert for assigned project requests from DOD, Combatant Command, and Air Force functional authorities. Answers questions, research, and presents comprehensive background material on specific functions, and identifies substantive project opportunities.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Unit Type Code (UTC) Management Program, validation of UTC Manpower Requirements, as well as developing Automated Wartime Manpower Analysis Tools. Provides strategic planning and technical guidance as well as seasoned consultative advisory services throughout the AF, including manpower planners in the AOR on the diverse wartime/contingency requirements of the Manpower Management Career Field.
• Represents branch, division, and AFMAA/CC in meetings, conferences, and senior-level forums as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Furnishes highly technical guidance, information, and advice to top-level administrative and technical agency personnel, AF/A1M, SAF/MG, other government agencies, and outside organizations.
