We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team at Gloucestershire Police HQ, to provide a first response and emergency service capability in respect of temporary rectification and permanent repairs to the facility.
Tascor Services are a Capita organisation who provide a full range of Facilities Management services to the Police, NHS and Fire Emergency services.
What you'll be doing :
• Complete the full range of maintenance and repair activities across the site.
• Escalate any equipment issues to the Maintenance and Repair Manager, to ensure they are resolved in a time-efficient manager.
• Compile Risk Assessments & Method Statements for maintenance activities.
• Compile and maintain all maintenance and repair documentation, including equipment service history documentation and unit defect log.
• Ensure obsolete equipment removal and new equipment introduction is carried out efficiently and at least cost.
• Conduct first- and second-line electrical/mechanical maintenance as required.
• To carry out, or to contract to SQEP contractors, all maintenance and engineering activities for the site.
• Plan and manage shutdown maintenance activities.
What we're looking for :
• Candidates should hold Electrical Low Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP) accreditation or be willing to work towards this on successful completion of probation period.
• Competent in maintaining safe working environments especially in non-office environment facilities with diverse day to day operational hazards and risk to life.
• Effective trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical knowledge (mechanical/electrical) as relevant to the role.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced with Risk Assessments, Diagnostics & Fault Finding
Please note - due to the nature of this role and the security vetting level required candidates are required to have been living in the UK as a resident for the last 3 years.
