Workload at HMP Exeter The mental health team holds a caseload and within this caseload, a number of patients would be subject to CPA management. All referrals are triaged by the mental health team collectively On occasion, assessments are requested as an emergency from the wings or segregation unit. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Probation Officer to join our team in Camden, London. As a Probation Officer, you will play a crucial role in the criminal justice system by working with individuals on probation to ensure their successful rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Responsibilities:

1. 
   Case Management:
   • Oversee a caseload of individuals on probation, conducting regular assessments to monitor progress.

   • Conduct regular check-ins, drug testing, and home visits to ensure adherence to guidelines.

   Documentation and Reporting:

   • Prepare detailed reports for court hearings and other relevant stakeholders.

   Community Engagement:
   • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community resources to facilitate successful reintegration.
   • Organize and participate in community programs aimed at preventing recidivism.
6. 
   Crisis Intervention:
   • Respond promptly to crises and emergencies, providing appropriate interventions and referrals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in probation, parole, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of criminal justice procedures and rehabilitation principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
