The primary purpose of this position is: To Serve as an expert computer/network systems engineer for the functional area of airborne and terrestrial network engineering and the integration of those networks and systems onto the Air Force Network. This position is responsible for engineering, integration and technical evaluation of communications and Information Technology (IT) solutions for use by the operational Air Force and other DoD agencies in support of the warfighter, which includes the 17 most senior US leaders up to and including the President of the US (POTUS). Performs integration engineering and evaluation of a vast array of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) network and infrastructure products for Air Force users in the airborne and terrestrial networking environment.

DUTIES:

• Serves as a Computer Engineer expert conducting authoritative engineering design, evaluation, and security assessments of airborne and/or terrestrial networks, and IT systems.
• Develops original and creative airborne and/or terrestrial communications and IT network/systems documentation products used by Air Force personnel.
• Provides expert airborne and/or terrestrial networks engineering to include: managerial, procedural, and policy guidance.
• Manages assigned tasks to include representing AFNIC, AFSPC and other MAJCOMs. Manages assignments and directs tasks in accordance with established schedules.

Analyzes methods of food preparation, cooking and methods of garnishing by subordinates. Prepares and cooks meats soups, vegetables and a broad range of other food. Regulates cooking temperatures, tests foods in cooking (seasons as appropriate, etc.). Prepares or directs the preparation of complex salads and desserts. Determines portion size. Supervisory duties comprise 35% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to:

1. Evaluates, develops and directs overall aircraft maintenance planning policies and programs applicable during contingency operations for all Air Mobility Command (AOR) locations throughout the US Transportation Command area of responsibility (AOR).
2. Plans logistics aircraft maintenance support for the warfighting Commands by working with the Air Staff, other Services, USTRANSCOM, and other Unified Commands, AMC and other MAJCOMS throughout DOD to determine aircraft maintenance requirements in support of major and smaller scale contingencies.
3. From an operational perspective, represents the AMC logistics Aircraft Maintenance community at higher management-level meetings within the organization, and at MAJCOM, HQ, DOD, and other agencies.

The Chief, Care Management and Social Work Service has full responsibility for provision of complex social work services requiring advanced practice skills as well as administrative responsibility for numerous programs such as Community Nursing Home, Respite, Contract Adult Day Healthcare, Veteran Directed Home Care, Advance Care Planning, Caregiver Support, Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program, and Post 9/11 Military to VA. Additional program areas with coordination responsibilities lying within Care management and Social Work include the Visual Impairment Services Team, Polytrauma/TBI, and Spinal Cord Injury and Diseases, including Multiple Sclerosis and ALS.

The Chief is responsible for defining the mission and vision of the Service, developing the scope of practice for health care system social workers, designing a service business plan, and assuring implementation of quality improvement measures. The incumbent is responsible for developing, planning, clarifying, administering and managing Care Management and Social Work Services for all areas of the Marion VA Health Care System (HCS). The incumbent designates service priorities and objectives, ensures the supervision and evaluation of all service staff, and is responsible for supervising and evaluating the performance of all direct reports, including program managers, program coordinators, and social workers. The Chief of Care Management and Social Work Service serves as the facility's Social Work Executive and has professional and clinical responsibility for approximately 100 facility social workers, including one GS 14, eight GS-13 and twenty GS-12 social workers. This includes provision of program specific consultation related to social work, social work hiring and human resources actions, social work productivity measurement, staffing management, risk management and coverage, management of the social work trainee program, strategic direction for social work, and professional education.

The Ambulatory Surgery Perioperative Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care for the patient undergoing a surgical/invasive procedure. The Lead Medical Technologist facilitates a team or unit processes by working in collaboration with a team to ensure that task, priorities, goals, and achievements are coordinated with management.
