1. Provide highly specialist advice and support to patients with obesity problems which will often include communicating highly sensitive information about diagnosis, treatment options, and entry into clinical trials, prognosis and outcome of illness including future care. 1.9 To offer highly specialist emotional, psychological and practical support and symptom control to the patient and their family/carer throughout their bariatric surgery pathway. 1.10 To ensure that all practice conforms to current written protocols and policies of UHNS and be involved in development of new policies. 1.11 To ensure consumer views are sought by facilitating patient involvement in the development of services. 1.12 To have phlebotomy skills. 2. Educational and Development 2.1 To lead on specific areas of bariatric surgery and identify areas where current practice needs to be reviewed and to make proposals for new initiatives. 2.2 Provide the education of pre and post registration health professionals in formal and informal settings. 2.3 To be available as an expert resource for UHNS staff. 2.4 To be involved in specialist internal teaching for non-professionals, patients/carers. 2.5 To be involved in the development of specialist information booklets and leaflets. 2.6 To help maintain and further develop a UHNS multi-professional bariatric surgery team. 2.7 To identify areas of care that could be researched to lead to improvements in care. 2.8 To regularly participate in nursing and multi-professional research projects and lead clinical audit within the specialty of bariatric surgery nursing within the Trusts clinical governance and research programme framework. 2.9 To disseminate current research findings to professional colleagues through publication and presentations. 2.10 To receive regular clinical supervision, if post holder wishes, and provide clinical supervision for other staff and students. 2.11 Take every reasonable opportunity to maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence. 2.12 To partake in a 6-12 month period of ongoing training and development of the individuals specialist knowledge of bariatric surgery. 2.13 To participate in personal objective setting and review, including the creation of a personal development plan at annual appraisal. 2.14 In the context of the individual's own knowledge, experience and sphere of authority, assist peers and subordinates to develop professional competence in accordance with their needs and the Divisional objectives. 3. Professional 3.1 To be a key member of the bariatric surgery team contributing to patient assessment and facilitating a collaborative approach to care planning at weekly bariatric surgery Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and contribute to all other MDT meetings, i.e. MDT away days, Network Site Specific Group. 3.2 Ensure that nursing practice is in keeping with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and standards and reflects policies and procedures of UHNS. 3.3 To ensure that bariatric surgery care nursing interventions are evidence based, or best practice and that a uniform high standard of patient care is provided. 3.4 Ensure that plans for the service link to the goals and priorities of the Trust/Directorate and to the bariatric surgery Action Plan, following Peer Review. 3.6 Develop care pathways for bariatric surgery patients. 3.7 Keep up to date with professional issues and ensure they are reflected in practice. 4. Management 4.1 To assist in development of specialist bariatric care policies, procedures, protocols, standards, guidelines and pathways within UNHS. 4.2 To collect and present statistical information and reports as requested, to the Trust. 4.3 To maintain adequate confidential records of all patients and ensure that all relevant information is documented on the patient's medical records/pathway. 4.4 To contribute to the Divisions Clinical Governance framework ensuring that all aspects of the service provided is to the highest clinical standard. 4.5 To monitor practice in relation to Bariatric surgery and assist in the management of complaints. 4.6 To manage time effectively to meet service objectives. 4.7 7 To manage a system of data entry on to the National Bariatric Surgical Register under the supervision of the lead bariatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. 5. Health and Safety: 5.1 To take reasonable care for their own Health and Safety and that of any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. 5.2 To co-operate with University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust in ensuring that statutory regulations, codes of practice, local policies and departmental health and safety rules are adhered to. 6. Joining our onsite Psychological Services team at this category B prison, you’ll play a key part in administering the delivery of Psychological Services to the men.

You will be responsible for the line management of Forensic Psychologists in Training, ensuring that all our work adheres to a code of conduct compliance and BPS guidelines. You’ll also:


- Undertake any relevant psychological assessments of the men that contribute to the safety of the establishment.
- Complete risk assessments for parole utilising appropriate risk assessment and personality assessment tools.
- Work closely with other departments to share information.
- Supervise trainee work.
- Help develop the work of Psychological Services, for example through assessments and group or individual interventions.
- Provision of specialist consultancy and training to prison staff.
- You may also be required to lead or contribute to research and participate in multi-disciplinary initiatives.


What you’ll need to do the role:

First and foremost, you will have experience of working with those convicted of offences and with completing assessments and interventions with a forensic population. We’d also like you to hold:


- HCPC registration (or be within six months of obtaining it)
- A Stage 2 Diploma in Forensic Psychology with the BPS OR hold a Stage 1 and have completed the majority of Stage 2
- If you are a Forensic Psychologist in Training on the Doctorate route you must have completed all practitioner placements and be within six months of becoming registered with the HCPC.


You’ll have knowledge in psychological theory regarding treatment of violent and sexual offending and be familiar with ‘what works’ literature and of a range of psychotherapeutic treatment approaches.

Comfortable completing parole reports and carrying out assessments such as WAIS, HCR-20, PCL-r, IPDE, VRS, you’ll also be able to work in a multi-disciplinary way and bring a collaborative approach to your work with your team and with the men.

We are looking for an Ordained or Suitably Qualified Lay Person with good IT literacy, stakeholder management skills, and collaborative team working abilities.

As Rastafarian Chaplain you will report into the Managing Chaplain at HMP Dovegate and be part of the multi-faith team, you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues to ensure the delivery of Prison Service Specifications, deliver faith and non-faith-based courses, and contribute to the process of assurance that relevant specifications are being delivered.

You will engage with and build contacts with your faith community and provide religious care for prisoners and staff in the faith tradition and pastoral care for all as required, irrespective of faith or tradition. You will also be required to travel around our other Prisons which include Fosse Way, Doncaster, Ashfield, and Thameside.

Are you an experienced forensic psychologist with a passion for transformative rehabilitation? At Serco, we’re looking for a Senior Forensic Psychologist to support and drive our Therapeutic Community at HMP Dovegate.

HMP Dovegate is a Category B male establishment based on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border near Uttoxeter. The operational capacity for the prison is 1100 prisoners who are serving a range of sentences including remand; those awaiting sentence and convicted men serving sentences up to life in prison. Joining our onsite team, you’ll play a key role in delivering psychological services to our residents.

The Therapeutic Community is a unique role, offering the opportunity to work with long term prisoners who are engaged in therapy to reduce their risk of re-offending. The Therapeutic Community is part of the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway; a network of services supporting some of the most complex individuals within the Criminal Justice System.

What you’ll need:
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…

Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registration as a Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Extensive experience in secure settings and working with offenders with complex needs

Strong skills in clinical formulation, risk assessment, and therapeutic interventions

Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and manage and inspire staff

Expertise in report writing and presenting evidence in formal settings

Up-to-date knowledge of forensic psychology research, especially in offender rehabilitation and therapeutic communities



Desirable (but not essential!):

Registration with the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAAPS) with the BPS

The Estates Department at South Staffordshire College require a vehicle mechanic to maintain our college vehicles within Rodbaston campus:



Main Duties Include:

* Maintain and service the college vehicle fleet
* Work on colleges agriculture and horticulture machinery
* Minor fabrication works
* Issue tools to students
* Ensure all relevant paper work is maintained
* Assist in college open days
* Assist the sites team when required
* Keep the workshop clean and tidy
* Stocktaking of tools and equipment
* Adhere to college's health and safety policy



Experience of vehicle repairs is essential, and a knowledge of agricultural equipment is desirable.
