The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with children with complex SEND needs. Previous experience is desired, however not essential, as training will be provided. Our client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the business partnering and management accounts function, to work closely with the Corporate Service directorate and, in particular, Digital Services.

The Role:

Responsibilities

In the next phase of this project, you will be responsible for the following activities:

• Leading project teams to deliver construction projects providing timely instructions and support to all the relevant stakeholders
• Work with built environment contractors and developers (stakeholders) adhering to development agreements.
• Beware of and ensure the application of the necessary measures to meet CDM 2015 requirements
• To be available to deal with onsite issues in appropriate and timely fashion
• Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, representing our client's interests to deliver projects on budget and in line with construction programmes
• The ability to manage internal budgets and apply a problem-solving approach to issues and challenges
• Bringing together and lead the resources needed to evaluate each of the available options

Knowledge, skills and experience

The successful candidate will particularly be able to demonstrate:

• Development and management of construction projects
• Significant experience of options appraisal and business case development
• Familiarity with public sector procurement
• Ability to control budgets relating to allocated projects and achieve financial targets set out.
• Experience and understanding of standard forms of construction contracts.
• Experience in managing and securing relevant statutory, regulatory third-party and other approvals
• Knowledge of health and safety law, duties, and responsibilities in a construction setting.
