Role Overview

We are looking for a project engineer within the commissioning business unit the successful candidate will have experience of managing a scope of work from pre operations from concept to completion, with a construction background, and a good understanding of procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day activities required to deliver work in line with the project plan including safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Working with and supporting a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a common objective.
• Working with the Project Manager to define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to the other elements of the programme.

Manpower has an exciting opportunity to join our client on their Yeovil site as a Project Engineer. This role will be focusing on technical publications for Yeovil and working with suppliers and will involve liaising with the engineering teams on site.

In return we will be able to offer a hybrid working model of 3 days in office, 2 days working from home (after an initial 6-8-week period of full office hours)

This role is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

• Creating & raising POs with the supplier for some of the work, lead time and costs from the supplier.

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, creative, and inspiring teacher or ECTs with energy, enthusiasm and a love of English to join our team. SAST will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. In line with KCSIE guidance, this will be part of safer recruitment checks, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.

Safeguarding responsibilities associated with this role will include engagement in regulatory activity, such as administering first aid or supporting an upset child. It will have some contact with young people on a day-to day basis. SAST is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification and the post is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and Children’s Barred List check. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
