Greater Manchester Combined Authority are searching for an energetic and driven professional to fill their Service Operations Officer position within the Service Operations Team within the Digital Services Directorate.
As part of the Service Operations Team you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, assisting them with software and hardware issues with computers and mobile phones.
You will work as part of a rota between two sites GMFRS HQ and GMCA Churchgate House, Monday to Friday 08:00 16:30. Weekend work is available Saturday and Sunday (optional) as part of a rota covering the Service Desk between 09:00 and 13:00.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Microsoft Desktop Operating System technologies, particularly Windows 10, a good working knowledge of Office 365 would be advantageous as would an ITIL Foundation qualification. You may be required to work on other Microsoft technologies at short notice, so an all-round ICT understanding & high level of logical problem-solving skills are essential.

As a Service Operations Officer, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Sound understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), E-mail systems including Office 365, One Drive, Internet connectivity and operation.
- Demonstratable knowledge and experience of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Windows Operating system troubleshooting knowledge and experience.
- Logical and analytical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service.
- Demonstrable experience of providing administrative support.
- Knowledge and experience of working with ITSM tools.
- Experience of delivering to set deadlines and changing priorities.
