The Associate Director of Contract Management role will directly report into the Associate Director of Clinical Procurement who will be responsible for leading the new contract management function and driving the initial transformation programme and continuing transformation post completion of the initial project. The Associate Director of Contract Management will be responsible for providing expert specialist contract management provision and advice in the support of the Procurement function in the development and implementation of the ICSs procurement strategy. This will involve working with and influencing senior Trusts managers and clinicians to ensure that the strategy is understood and that effective support for the strategy is achieved. The post holder will support the development and promotion of contract management and supporting the development of the ICS overarching strategic procurement objectives and policies, ensuring that it obtains best value for money, contracts are appropriately managed whilst complying with legislation. This includes direct involvement in identifying contracted and non-contracted spend, supporting the procurement team in developing suitable contracts with key measurables, liaising with key stakeholders on contract management best practice, identifying areas of improvement and compiling and implementing a contract management policy. The post holder shall also support the AssociateDirector of Clinical Procurement on Value Based Procurement projects and Out of Hospital projects to deliver against the cost improvement plan.

The postholder will work alongside the MDO Manager - Medical Appraisal & Revalidation Lead to provide support to the Chief Medical Officer in carrying out their Responsible Officer role.

Manage consultant job planning across the Trust.

Operate job planning within an annual planning cycle.

Maintain and implement appropriate validation protocols.

Administer the job plan appeal process.

Lead on job planning training.

Provide regular performance reports at a local and national level and lead on job planning at internal performance meetings.

Manage the online support tool.

Support the production of the annual Board Assurance Framework for seven day clinical standards.

The post holder will also:

Provide short term cover for medical appraisal and revalidation when necessary.

Facilitate requests from the GMC regarding Fitness to Practice referrals.

Administer ad hoc meetings as requested.
