To ensure information returns required by the Trust, Commissioners, NHS England and other partner organisations are delivered and are timely, accurate and presented to a high standard. To access and interrogate existing information systems in order to understand, analyse and report activity and/or changes in services covered to supplement existing standard information provided. To prepare reports on the relevant services within the portfolio for the Board of Directors/Executive Management Committee (EMC) as and when required. To use research and experience elsewhere in the NHS to inform service development and support the implementation of all relevant NICE Guidance. To produce business cases for service development ensuring that implication of service changes or development have been accurately assessed for submission to the appropriate corporate body. To exercise control over staff and non-staff expenditure where appropriate. To contain expenditure within budget and develop annual cost improvement plans. To review monthly budget statements for the department and in conjunction with the Directorate Manager, provide support with the services managers, Co-ordinators and other senior staff as appropriate, agreeing action to contain expenditure within budget. Devise, agree and deliver income-related targets within the department and provide support to the Directorate Manager to ensure opportunities to increase income and reduce costs for the Trust are pursued in conjunction with other colleagues, departments, and services, reviewing monthly budget statements to keep expenditure within budget. PHYSICAL RESOURCES: To provide on-going review of facilities with colleagues within the identified service areas to ensure optimum use of resources. Job Purpose

The Senior Study Leader is the leader of the cross-functional clinical trial team (CTT), guides planning and management of the assigned clinical study/studies end-to-end to achieve objectives. Accountable for proactive, iterative operational planning with effective contingencies and embedded risk management mindset in CTT. Oversee budget and people allocation within assigned study/studies. Contribute in promoting operational excellence through process improvement and knowledge sharing across studies. Fosters an empowered, psychologically safe organization that can navigate a matrix environment, learns, and adjusts quickly to changing conditions and business needs.

Key accountabilities

• Executes and delivers clinical studies; guides planning and decision making at study-level

• Acts as the CTT product owner with clear and focused duties and responsibilities per the agile ways of working

• Active member of a Clinical Operations community within the study leadership organization

• Promotes operational excellence in the development of global clinical study protocol(s), clinical study report(s), and other study-related documents

Deliverables

• Patient recruitment, clinical data, study documentation and study reports

• Efficient delivery of the protocol, ICF, Monitoring Plan, and CSR in quality and on time

• Cost effective management of study budget

• Proactive, iterative operational planning with effective contingencies and embedded risk management mindset in CTT

Key expertise and skillset

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences/healthcare (or clinically relevant degree) is required. Advanced degree is strongly preferred.

• ≥ 4 years of recent involvement in clinical research or drug development in an academic or industry environment spanning clinical activities in Phases I through IV of standard to high complexity and priority ≥ 3 years of recent contribution to and accomplishment in all aspects of conducting clinical studies of standard to high complexity and priority (e.g., planning, executing, reporting and publishing) in a global/matrix environment in pharmaceutical industry or a contract research organization, including expert knowledge of international standards (GCP/ICH), health authorities (FDA/EMA), local/National Health Authorities

• Experience in managing people globally in a complex matrix environment preferred

• Management of virtual teams. Proven ability and strong experience leading teams and building capabilities Experience in developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent communicator and presenter (oral and written); ability to communicate at all levels

• Excellent organization and prioritization

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills and enterprise mindset, demonstrated by ability to drive for aligned solutions

You will work directly with your administrative teams which are devolved and co-located with their clinical teams giving you direct control of all processes relating to patient pathway management. About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Support team for a highly motivated and proactive individual for the position of Executive Assistant to the Chief Fire Officer (CFO).

The key focus of this role is:

• Provide high-level executive assistance to the Chief Fire Officer, ensuring day to day diary management, arranging both internal and external appointments and engagement with national and local organisations, and key stakeholders

• Managing correspondence on behalf of the Chief Fire Officer dealing with queries and preparing correspondence for agreement with Chief Fire Officer

• Lead on areas of work as allocated by the Chief Fire Officer including project management, co-ordinating actions, undertaking research, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met in order to provide the necessary professional service.

• Ensure the Chief Fire Officer is full prepared and briefed, on national and regional issues, undertaking all necessary planning, arrangements and research.

• Undertake research and analysis concerning national and regional policy, organisational and fire related issues. Produce concise executive summaries from complex documents or research and prepare presentations to support the Chief Fire Officer.

• Organise visits and meetings with VIPS and chief executives or equivalents of partnership agencies.

• Organise meetings on behalf of the Chief Fire Officer including national work, securing the attendance of relevant participants or their nominated deputies in person or via video or telephone conferencing, ensuring IT equipment is in working order, preparing all paperwork and files beforehand, distributing agendas, minutes, reports and other communications as necessary, preparing all participants in advance of the meeting, recording actions and decisions of the meeting and ensure that these are completed following the meeting.

What do I need?
