As Service Manager, you'll be responsible for leading around 35 professional and technical staff as well as contributing to the wider Economy, Development & Planning Management Team.
This is an exciting time to join the Service as we continue our mission to tackle inequality and poverty through place investment. You'll lead work on Local Development Plan 3, our mobility and housing strategies, and support our ambitious proposals for Perth city centre. You will also act as the Council’s first statutory Chief Planning Officer, providing strategic advice, delivering national planning priorities, championing place and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
You’ll also drive innovation in service excellence and be passionate about supporting organisational transformation and change.

Requirements
To carry out this role effectively you will have a degree, or equivalent experience, in town planning or a related discipline such as housing or transport engineering. You will also have significant relevant experience in a leadership role. Given the nature of the job, it's likely that you will be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
