The successful candidate MUST have experience in Female Personality Disorders.

About the role as a Hospital Director

You will successfully take charge of managing the assigned service, ensuring it always runs smoothly and efficiently.

The appointed individual must be aware that successful registration with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager is a mandatory requirement for this role.

The hospital's four services deliver an integrated program combining milieu and psychosocial interventions, engaging the entire service community-including both service users and staff-as active participants in the therapeutic process.

You would be working within a dynamic 24-hour rota system, which includes evenings, weekends, and the occasional night shift. While the typical schedule is 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, be prepared for some flexibility - stepping up beyond these hours is all part of ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met across the board.

Main Responsibilities as a Hospital Director

Service Delivery:

• Continuously oversee all facets of service delivery to ensure high-quality nursing care is provided, adhering to Care Quality Commission and commissioning standards, as well as company policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
• Report all significant incidents and events to the appropriate regulatory bodies or external agencies.
• Lead governance efforts within the service by organising regular meetings and addressing, monitoring, and taking action on all governance-related issues.
• Implement and actively engage in an ongoing audit program to ensure consistent quality monitoring. Develop and oversee action plans as needed, guiding the General Manager accordingly.
• Ensure that all service users have individualised care plans and that all care documentation, including risk assessments and treatment plans from pre-admission to discharge, are kept up-to-date and consistently meet the expected standards.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals, purchasers, and commissioners to identify and address the patients' best interests and establish appropriate care plans.
• Develop and maintain effective and efficient recording systems.
• Handle complaints according to EHC policy and procedures, ensuring service users are informed about the process and receive support throughout.

Resource Management:

• Oversee and administer the services efficiently, including managing budgets and auditing financial transactions and systems.
• Supervise all assigned human resources in accordance with EHC's policies and procedures, collaborating with the HR team as needed.
• Lead the recruitment process for new employees, ensuring that a safe and effective recruitment procedure is followed.
• Ensure that new employees receive comprehensive induction into the service and that the company's probationary policy is properly implemented.
• Ensure that an appropriate skill mix is available to address the clinical demands of the service.
• Guarantee that all staff members are adequately skilled, trained, and developed.
• Continuously monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with required standards, and take prompt and appropriate action when performance does not meet expectations.
• Manage issues related to sickness and absence in accordance with EHC policy.
• Work in collaboration with the HR team as necessary.

Legal Responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Care Act 2014, and Care Quality Commission guidance, ensuring strict compliance at all times.
• Adhere to all safeguarding obligations in line with current legislation, as well as local, national, and EHC policies and procedures.
• Be well-versed in the Mental Health Act 1983, including its amendments under the Mental Health Act 2007.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Oversee that all employees within the service accurately document all aspects of service user care.

The Genomics Data & Digital Director plays a critical leadership role as the custodian of genomic data and digital intelligence, responsible for realizing the NHS England genomics strategy and transformation agenda across the Northwest region. A key role engaging at senior executive and board levels regionally and nationally to foster innovation in genomic medicine.



Reporting to the Alliance Director, this position is responsible for collaborating with NHS England digital teams, regional genomic medicine Service entities GMSA digital leaders, and northwest regional digital transformation programs to drive forward the digital enablement and optimisation of genomics services.



The role will provide strategic vision and direction for genomics digital capabilities, overseeing the effective delivery of key digital change initiatives and projects aligned to genomics strategy goals.
