At the Heart of England Co-operative Funeral care, we are a small, independent, regional business operating through 16 funeral homes in Coventry, Warwickshire, South Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire serving our client families to the very highest standards with our committed team of experienced professionals.

The role covers the Lower Holyhead Road, Coventry area. The successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team as well as working to their own initiative. We require someone who can work well under pressure whilst maintaining a sympathetic manner and being sensitive to the needs of others. Working 39 hours per week, which will include weekends and the on-call rota, reporting to the Head of client services you will deliver the highest standards in client care through exceptional service being delivered throughout the key stages of the funeral journey in line with the Heart of England client service processes, policies, and business standards, and contribute to the financial success of the business.

Responsible for:

· Being an Ambassador for the Funeral Division and the Society as a whole, at all times

· Assisting covering duties outside normal business hours (i.e., nights, weekends, and statutory/customary holidays)

· When required to delegate tasks to Community Funeral Directors and Personal Funeral Advisors to achieve exceptional client service

· Supporting first line colleagues in achieving the Locations and Goals and Objectives

· Management of physical resources including colleagues and premises which fall under your area of responsibility

· Develop the Location through actively planning and participating in local community activity

· To maintain and be responsible for high standards of personal appearance, speech, and conduct.

· To Fully establish the clients’ requirements and to offer and advise on all appropriate products

· To be an expert in all areas, be conversant with local customs and practices within the local community (all denominations and faiths)

· Assist with presentation of deceased for visits, to oversee supervise and conduct funerals.

· To ensure effective liaison with all external agencies and authorities, ensuring all details are correct

· To ensure records are kept up to date and correctly entered onto our funeral administration system.

· Ensure compliance of employees with Society’s policies and Procedures, ways of working and standard funeral operating procedures, Health & Safety guidelines, NAFD, FPA, FCA and other relevant bodies guidelines and regulations.

· To Secure premises and assets and to ensure the public and private areas of the funeral location are to the desired standard.

Our large Acute Teaching Hospital has almost 1400 beds and is located in a PFI hospital which opened in 2006, situated just off the junction of the M6 and M69. We are a major trauma centre and tertiary and specialist referral centre for many specialties including Neurosciences and Stroke, Oncology, Haematology, Paediatrics, Cardiothoracic, Renal Medicine and Renal Transplant. We are also a large clinical trials centre with over 140 active trials currently recruited to. In 2018 we fully automated all our medication storage on wards (72 Omnicells and growing), this was the first part of our move towards our longer term automation strategy. The next phase has been to automate our main dispensary (July 2023) ready for the new Trust EPR system (which arrived summer 2024) . Are you a ready now Clinical Pharmacy Leader looking for the next challenge in your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and dedicated pharmacist to lead the trust medicines assurance and pharmacy governance at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

The opportunity has arisen as the current post holder will be on maternity leave, therefore a fixed term contract (secondment considered) is being advertised.

The primary role of this post is the professional strategic leadership of the Trust Medicines Assurance Framework and Pharmacy Governance. Also act as the professional secretary for the Trust Medicines Optimisation Committee (MOC) and Chair of the Medicines Policy and Practice Committee (MPPC).

The post holder will play a key strategic role in supporting the Director/Deputy Director of Pharmacy and Trust Quality team to ensure all our medication related committees and groups focus their outputs towards statutory Trust assurance needs, internal continual improvement and aligning towards a progressive Trust Medicines Optimisation Strategy.

As the secretary of the centralised Trust MOC, support Chairs of the committees and groups which are closet to clinical practice and the enablement of innovative practice. All committees output and reporting being accountable to MOC.

At an ICS level the post holder will also support the medicines governance group via the delegated authority of the Pharmacy Governance Team which includes the Medication Safety Officer (MSO).

The post holder is supported by an experienced Pharmacy Governance Team, Trust Medicines Safety Officer (MSO) and Lead Pharmacist - Clinical Guidelines and PGD’s (see attached structure charts). The post holder will also provide direct line management of the supportive structure. Medication Assurance has also been transformed by the introduction of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system (Cerner), the team and post holder will support the EPR Pharmacy team closely.

JOB SUMMARY The post holder will be working closely with the Associate Director of Nursing, Associate Director of Operations, the General Managers and the Associate Director for AHPs. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate strong AHP leadership and provide highly specialist AHP advice. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical and professional leadership including support, guidance and representing the broad views of the AHPs within childrens services and will need to achieve a level of visibility that enables these views to be represented equally from all professions and to inform a clear AHP/ Nursing strategy for the organisation and wider system. The post holder will be expected to interpret national guidance in relation to children and young people and advise on the implementation within the modernising and changing environment of all AHP professions provided by the Directorate. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of, and lead on, the implementation of key aspects of the AHP (and joint AHP/Nursing) strategy. The post holder will be required to ensure that the teams have the requisite skills and knowledge to deliver a range of evidence-based interventions through a programme of development.
